LSU received a commitment from Colorado transfer offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, sources told ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Friday.
Seaton, the top offensive tackle and No. 4 overall player in ESPN’s transfer rankings, picked LSU over Miami, Oregon and Mississippi State. He’ll have two more seasons of eligibility with the Tigers but is expected to be a first-round prospect for the 2027 NFL draft.
The 6-foot-5, 330-pound sophomore was one of the highest-rated signees in Colorado program history as a five-star recruit in the 2024 class. Seaton started 22 games at left tackle over his two seasons with the Buffaloes.
Seaton was the top uncommitted player still available in ESPN’s transfer rankings. He joins ESPN’s No. 1-ranked transfer portal class.
His decision means new coach Lane Kiffin and the Tigers have signed three of ESPN’s top six transfers, with Seaton joining quarterback Sam Leavitt (Arizona State) and pass rusher Princewill Umanmielen (Ole Miss) in Baton Rouge.
Kiffin and his staff have brought in 41 new players via the portal in January and have dramatically overhauled their offense, with three new incoming quarterbacks, four new running backs, nine wide receivers and eight offensive linemen.
Seaton, the No. 19 overall recruit in the 2024 ESPN 300 out of IMG Academy in Florida, started right away as a true freshman at Colorado. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches in 2025 after surrendering zero sacks in pass protection over nine games, according to ESPN Research.

That’s why cold weather safety tips are being offered for those living with dementia or Alzheimer’s.The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) is sharing some tips to help people stay safe in cold weather.Experts said preventing wandering during this dangerous cold weather is most important.Leah Daly, a senior manager of education for the AFA, said caregivers should be aware of several things, including the fact that people living with dementia or Alzheimer’s are prone to visual cues or triggers. Simply seeing a jacket, shoes and keys by the door could prompt them to wander off, according to Daly.”Even if their plan was not to go for a walk or not to leave the house, they may see that jacket, they may see those shoes and say: ‘I guess I was over here to leave the house. I guess I should put these on,'” Daly said.Daly said it’s a good idea to put those items away. She said caregivers should do whatever they can to stimulate and satisfy social needs and cognitive stimulation.”If they have really not done much in the day, this can cause restlessness and can lead people to go outside,” Daly said. Very few artists experience success straight out of the gate, but Clint Black managed it with his debut album, Killin’ Time.
Released via RCA Records on May 2, 1989, Killin’ Time was chock-full of hit singles, beginning with its lead single, “A Better Man,” which hit No. 1 on June 10 of that year.

Black followed up that success with three more No. 1 hits from that career-launching album, including the title song, “Nobody’s Home” and “Walkin’ Away,” and he scored another Top 5 with “Nothing’s News.”
Killin’ Time was certified Gold for sales of 500,000 units on Sept. 24, 1989, and went on to be certified Platinum for sales of a million units on Jan. 23, 1990, less than a year after it was released.
Killin’ Time also earned Album of the Year honors at the ACM Awards, while “A Better Man” won Single Record of the Year. The runaway success of the album earned Black a prime spot among what would come to be called country music’s Class of 1989, which also included Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and more.
Even more unusual than the rapid success of Killin’ Time was the fact that Black wrote or co-wrote every song on the album.
He also used his band to track the recordings, instead of relying on Nashville session musicians.
Over the course of subsequent albums, he would stick to his guns in making his records his way, despite resistance from Nashville labels who tried to steer him toward a more traditional approach of recording songs the label felt would be hits with a slate of studio musicians.
“I told those guys then, ‘I wanna look around in 30 years and see the same faces.’ And that doesn’t always work out, but I did everything I could to keep doing what I was doing with the people I was doing it with,” Black told Taste of Country in 2016.
“Some of them didn’t last, and some of them did. But my attitude was, I want to be an artist. I don’t want to be a product.”

Patience has become a virtue for Michigan State. The No. 10-ranked Spartans are in the thick of another Big Ten Title race on the backs of elite player development. Senior forward Jaxon Kohler has transformed into an All-Conference-caliber big man and is playing the best basketball of his life. Redshirt-sophomore point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. and senior center Carson Cooper are also massive player-development wins for Tom Izzo.
Kohler, Fears and Cooper are at the epicenter of Michigan State’s glitzy 17-2 record, including a 7-1 mark in Big Ten play. Michigan State is fresh off a 2-0 West Coast roadtrip, but that body-clock adjustment is always a concern for coaches. Four days should be enough to get back up to speed, but it’s a factor entering Saturday’s action.
If Michigan State wants to put another Big Ten Championship banner on the board, it has to avoid a letdown against a wounded, undermanned Maryland squad. The Terps (8-11, 1-7 in Big Ten play) will still not have star big man Pharrel Payne, who is still on the mend after a gruesome knee injury suffered against Michigan last month. Payne is not expected to play this season, but the brutal Big Ten bouts keep coming for first-year Maryland coach Buzz Williams.

Jeremy Fears Jr. versus Diggy Coit: Coit has been one of the top isolation scorers in the country, and he dropped 43 (!) points on Penn State last Sunday. The 5-foot-11 assassin has the speed and craftiness to get to his pull-up jumper whenever he wants, but Michigan State’s team defense is excellent. The Spartans load up the gaps and limit driving lines as well as any team in the league, but this is also another opportunity for Jeremy Fears Jr. to add to his Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year resume.
How will Michigan State navigate the Terps’ zone? Maryland has been playing a lot of zone lately. The results haven’t been great, but Williams might not have much of a choice in this matchup. Oregon and Duke have used zone defense to gum up the game and frustrate this Michigan State halfcourt offense. Maryland’s zone defense isn’t that good, but it does coax a trey at a 58% clip. Michigan State has a couple capable shooters, but that’s not the name of the game for the Spartans, especially when Coen Carr, Jeremy Fears Jr. and Carson Cooper are on the floor together. Michigan State has to find better solutions against zone defenses, but I could easily see Fears still getting into the teeth of the defense and that’s when Michigan State gets so scary.
Maryland’s transition defense will be strained: Relentless offensive rebounding is a tenet of Buzz Ball. Maryland will send four to the offensive glass at times, but that leaves its transition defense in some bad spots. Michigan State is an elite rebounding team and equally as dominant in transition. Maryland cannot be reckless, or we will have a Flying Carr sighting at the Breslin.
You aren’t going to out-physical Michigan State, but Maryland certainly will try. Even without Pharrel Payne, Maryland has the athletes to match Michigan State’s frontcourt thumpers. Solomon Washington and Elijah Saunders are weight-room warriors who will not be overwhelmed by Michigan State’s awesome frontcourt duo of Jaxon Kohler and Carson Cooper. Michigan State has schematic edges all over the place because Maryland’s offense goes haywire when Coit isn’t Coit-ing, but the Terps have the athleticism to not get totally abused on the glass and stay inside this hefty spread.
