Who Zac Brown Says is ‘One of the Greatest Guitar Players’ Ever

Zac Brown, from the Zac Brown Band, is a highly decorated country musician with 13 No. 1 songs to his name.

It’s safe to say that the singer/songwriter knows what he is doing when it comes to playing his guitar and singing, so when Brown says he thinks someone is one of the greatest guitar players to ever live, my ears perked up.

Brown, who just performed at the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House Lawn on June 14, previously spoke to Taste of Country Nights about his all-time favorite guitar players.

Zac Brown Says This Young Man is ‘One of the Greatest Guitar Players That’s Ever Lived’

When it came time to co-sign someone’s guitar skills, Brown said that 30 year-old Marcus King was one of the greatest of all time.

“Marcus King is a young man, but he is, he will be one of the greatest guitar players that’s ever lived. [He’s] an unbelievable singer and writer and player.”

The two also played one of Brown’s songs, “Out in the Middle,” live together at the 2022 CMA Awards.

The stage was set up like an MTV Unplugged performance, with a carpet and a close-knit band. But it was anything but unplugged. While Zac Brown performed on an acoustic, Marcus King absolutely shredded.
