Your editorial “The Bad Teamsters Bargain With UPS” (Oct. 29) is the latest entry in what seems to have become a favorite Journal pastime: attacking me by name to distract from the Teamsters’ success of reining in corporate greed.
Job losses at UPS are somehow our union’s fault? When a corporation says it doesn’t have money for wages or benefits while funneling millions of dollars to the top, it isn’t the result of a union-negotiated contract. If a company is strapped for cash, the first place to look is executive compensation packages and stock buybacks, not the workers’ agreement.
