An Anderson County, South Carolina, precinct clerk turned heads on Primary Election Day by roller skating through her shift at a newly opened polling place.The newly constructed Piercetown Fire Department substation was used as a polling place for the first time on Tuesday, June 9. Jessica Aultz said that she has been working for the Piercetown Election Precinct for years and when she saw the concrete floors of the substation, she knew that she would be running around. She said that she laced up the skates so that she could get around with ease and have fun while everyone else is having fun “doing what we get to do here in America.”As far as we can tell, there is only one Precinct Clerk in the state, who worked the poll on roller skates.
