Early this morning, a task force executed a high-risk search warrant at a residence in Lincoln County. Deputies say the search took place around 6 a.m. on Mechem Drive and Brady Canyon Road and the warrant was approved after a months long investigation. Lincoln County Sheriff Michael Wood said that once agents were inside, they found items that are commonly found in a stash house, which is a residence used to traffic or transfer people and/or drugs.Sheriff Wood also said that two people barricaded themselves inside the home, with both individuals being taken into custody. One has since been released. This investigation is ongoing and will be updated when more information becomes available.
