“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” the couple’s statement reads. “Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.”

They also thanked fans for their “understanding, support and respect” during their divorce.

According to Davidson County Court records, Summer actually filed divorce paperwork a couple months ago. Her first complaint’s filing date is listed as May 12, and records indicate that Pardi was served with the papers on May 13.

On Friday, after they announced their divorce, Pardi said in an Instagram Stories statement that he’ll be taking a step back from social media “to focus on myself and my family.”

“I’ll see you at the shows,” he added.

The singer has said that it was love at first sight for him, too.

“She was the first girl I’ve ever dated where I felt like she had my back and that we really were a team,” he told People. “Summer is stunningly beautiful to look at, but that doesn’t compare with her heart and how caring she is.”

Pardi proposed in October 2019, during a show he was playing at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. They married in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on Nov. 21, 2020.

The couple’s oldest daughter, Presley, was born on Feb. 18, 2023. They welcomed their second child, daughter Sienna, on July 16, 2024.

In May, Pardi shared a Mother’s Day tribute to Summer, writing, “Happy mothers day to Super Mom.”
