As Dylan Scott’s song “What He’ll Never Have” climbs the charts, the singer took a moment to tease what is next on the horizon for him.
Scott was a guest on Country Countdown USA where he told host Lon Helton about an emotional song that he penned the same day his mother died, Dec. 28, 2021.

Scott says “I want my next thing I release that’s a song with meaning. I found a song I wrote after my mom passed away. She’d tell me my whole life to ‘slow down.’ When she died, I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote this song.”
When Can We Expect New Music from Dylan Scott?
“We’re releasing it next. I can’t believe it’s taken this long, but I’m excited,” Scott continues.
The hitmaker reveals on his social media that “Slow Down” will release on April 24.

Scott is excited to get the almost five year-old song out to the masses. He wants to honor his late mother, and also to send a stark message to his own kids: Slow down, because life moves fast.
His fans are just as excited that he is finally releasing this track as well.
One writes “Yessss!! Been waiting for this one to drop,” while another comments “I’ve been waiting on this one Dylan, such an AMAZING tribute ro [sic] your mom.”
