Deadly pedestrian crash closes part of Central Avenue in Albuquerque

Eastbound Central Avenue is closed near 106th Street due to a deadly crash involving a pedestrian

Part of Central Avenue in northwest Albuquerque is closed due to a deadly crash involving a pedestrian.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said a man was hit and killed by a car around 7:30 a.m. Monday on Central Avenue near 106th Street.

Police have not said what led to the crash.

Eastbound Central is closed in the area while deputies investigate. They expect it to stay closed for several hours.
