Charlie Daniels is back in action in a unique new video for the Charlie Daniels Band’s long-lost patriotic anthem, “My Home.”
What Is the New AI-Generated Charlie Daniels Video?
The new clip utilizes AI-generated graphics to place Daniels in the middle of a patriotic celebration of America’s birthday.
Daniels’ son, Charlie Daniels Jr., created the video, learning the ins and out of an AI-powered video platform as he went along.
“I originally just wanted a lyric video for the song,” Daniels says in a press release.
“I was learning completely on the fly, trying to understand how the system worked, what prompts it needed and how to fine-tune each scene. I spent several days obsessing over it until I finally had something that felt right.”
Then Daniels discovered the platform’s animation options.
“What started as a basic slideshow with lyrics suddenly became a full-fledged music video,” he elaborates. “When I saw what it could do, my mind was blown.”
What Is the New Charlie Daniels Band Song, “My Home”?
The lost track from the CDB archives dropped commercially for the first time on June 17, more a decade after it first debuted.
Taste of Country exclusively premiered the track.
The Charlie Daniels Band recorded “My Home” in 2014 for a Macy’s Fourth of July television special, but the song didn’t see commercial release at the time.
The recording lay untouched over the years as the Country Music Hall of Famer and his band focused on new recording projects and touring.
After Daniels passed away in 2020, the track was largely forgotten until 2025, when Daniels’ son, Charlie Daniels Jr., rediscovered “My Home” and started to look into releasing it.

As he relates in a Soap Box column, it took extensive research, multiple conversations with songwriter Bill Schermerhorn and a long search for the master recording of the track to move the release forward, and it couldn’t have happened without help from Schermerhorn and co-writer Doug Katsaros.
The result is an up-tempo track that balances country and rock elements, topped off by blazing, fleet-fingered fiddle solos from Daniels.
Will There Be More Archival Releases From Charlie Daniels?
The archival release of “My Home” is part of a busy schedule of archival releases that Daniels’ estate is focusing on in 2026.
Daniels would have turned 90 in October of 2026, leading into what his family calls “the tenth decade of Charlie Daniels.”
Other upcoming events include the Legend of Charlie Daniels show at Fort Campbell, Ky. on July 4, which will include performances from a CDB hologram, the Frontmen, Aaron Tippin and Eric Lee Beddingfield
There’s also an upcoming Best of the Charlie Daniels Band Volunteer Jam compilation album due in August.
“My Home” is currently available via all major digital music services.
