Carrie Underwood has picked up plenty of hobbies over the years, from gardening to baking and canning. Now she’s adding another unexpected title to the list: queen of “granny chic.”
The “All-American Girl” singer recently showed off her pantry, where colorful handmade curtains sparked a lighthearted debate — with herself — over whether she’d gone just a little too far with the cozy, vintage-inspired look.
Granny Chic?
Underwood shared a series of photos on Instagram showing off a neatly organized pantry filled with rows of labeled glass jars and a new set of crocheted granny square curtains she’d made to hide her HVAC doors.
Finally got my mixed granny square curtains up to hide the HVAC doors. My eyes need to get used to them there…I might have reached my ‘granny chic’ threshold.
The colorful curtains, stitched together from classic granny squares with bright floral designs, instantly became the focal point of the space.

Even Underwood wasn’t sure they were staying.
“I don’t think I knew how ‘granny’ was too ‘granny’ until now,” she joked. “We’ll see if I leave them up or take them down, join them, and make a throw.”
Right at Home
The curtains fit right in with the rest of Underwood’s pantry, which is filled with neatly labeled glass jars from her canning projects.
Between gardening, preserving food, baking, and now crocheting, the country singer has fully embraced life at home — even if she’s still deciding whether she’s crossed her own “granny chic” threshold.
After Vegas
The pantry makeover comes just a few months after Underwood wrapped her Reflection Las Vegas residency in April.
