The supplemental draft serves as a secondary way for players to be selected into the NFL, after the year’s draft has passed. The last player to be selected in the NFL’s supplemental draft was Jalen Thompson by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. Sorsby was Cincinnati’s starting quarterback for each of the last two seasons, throwing 45 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while also rushing for 18 scores.Sorsby was seen as one of the top players in the transfer portal this winter and signed a lucrative contract to play for the Red Raiders this season.
