Police have charged Lewis with endangering her children after she admitted to smashing a truck with a baseball bat

The Albuquerque Police Department arrested Jenipher Lewis on Thursday for endangering her children after video of Lewis smashing the back window of a white pickup truck went viral.
In a TikTok video captured by @bigalgladiator, Lewis is shown getting out of her car and bashing the truck with a baseball bat before the pickup driver proceeds to ram her car.
Lewis claims she was trying “to protect herself and her children” after the pickup driver cut them off pulling out of a parking lot, according to police.
The incident occurred Monday around 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of Constitution Ave. and Wyoming Blvd., NE, police said.
In a TikTok video captured by @bigalgladiator, Lewis is shown getting out of her car and hitting the truck with a baseball bat, breaking the glass.
As Lewis starts driving away, the driver of the pickup switches lanes, accelerates into the intersection, and crashes into the rear of her red Nissan.
Both vehicles fled the scene after the crash, police said.
Lewis is charged with abuse, endangering a child’s life and health, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and reckless driving.
The driver of the white pickup meanwhile has not been identified. Police said the truck did not appear to have a license plate.
