ATTILA Claim They Cancelled Their European Tour Due to “EXTREME Unprofessionalism” From An External Party; Screenshots Suggest Otherwise

Date:

Just two days ago, one day of ahead of kick-off, Attila announced they would be cancelling their European tour, citing that “boundaries” had been crossed “less than 24 hours before our first show.”

Attila were due to started their European tour with a performance at Full Rewind Festival in Germany on Thursday, the 31st of July. It’s reported that the band flew into Berlin on the 30th of July, a day before their scheduled performance, where they full-out cancelled the entire European tour, and posted the following statement to Instagram on August 1st:

We’d like to sincerely apologize to our fans first and foremost. We never intended on cancelling our 2025 European run but over the past couple years Attila and its crew have been put in situations that are volatile to not only our mental but individual health. In return these scenarios have led us to set boundaries as humans beings as well as a functioning business.

We flew the entire band and crew all the way to Europe only to find out less than twenty four hours before our first show these boundaries were crossed again.

We are not here to speak negatively about any individual or company. However, we have to stand up for ourselves and, more importantly, for the people who work hard to make Attila run smoothly.

Moving forward we are going to take the necessary measures to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. We can only hope you understand and respect our decision.

The next day, on August 2nd, Attila offered a more detailed statement about the issues the band ran into that led them to suddenly cancelling their tour, which were still quite vague, but did offer some kind of insight into their decision:

A lot of people are asking for more details about our Europe tour cancellation. I just want to get a few things straight. There’s no drama or hidden shit happening. It’s not that deep. We are all best friends. Here’s what it comes down to. Attila is extremely professional. We arrived in Germany with all of our gear and crew ready to do this entire tour.

We came with professionalism and we were met with EXTREME unprofessionalism on a certain companies part. On our last European tour we had a VERY similar incident happen and it COMPLETELY ruined our morale as a band. We don’t NEED to tour, we don’t NEED to be here. We do this purely because we love it.

But we are NOT going to sacrifice our minds and body because of some companies MASSIVE fuck up. That is all. We are going to fly back to Atlanta to record more music in our studio and finish our new album. We love Europe and we will be back to make it up to you guys. Thank you.

This statement came after one fan told the frontman Chris Fronzak on Twitter/X that “not sharing details will leave room for this to be interpreted as diva behavior for someone not meeting some arbitrary ask,” to which Fronz sharply responded, “I think this is plenty of info without throwing a certain ‘company’ under the bus but let’s just say that we (Attila) did every single thing right, showed up to Germany, [and] got absolutely fucked over day [one]. We’re not dealing with anybody’s bullshit anymore [–] we simply don’t have to[.]”

After the slew of commentary from Attila, the booking company, Loud Farm Booking, responsible for the Bordel Na Dunaji festival in Slovakia – where Attila were due to perform on the 2nd of August (yesterday, at the time of writing) – posted to their Instagram story, a screenshot of an email to a Loud Farm Booking employee named ‘Igor‘ alongside the following caption (translated from Slovakian by Lambgoat):

Our Saturday headliner Attila will not perform…
The reason is that the band stopped communicating with management and the agency after arriving in Berlin. The tour was ready, the driver waited with the bus all day in front of the hotel, while the band decided not to communicate and suddenly canceled the entire European tour, even though they were already in Europe with the whole crew…

Unfortunately, at this moment we have not been able to find an adequate replacement for a band like Attila. We know that many of you were looking forward to this band, but their reckless decision to cancel the entire tour at the last minute is something we can’t fix at this moment…

The only compensation we can currently offer is a 50% discount on a Sunday ticket to everyone who bought a ticket for Saturday—so that at least you can enjoy proper headliners on Sunday…

We deeply apologize for these complications,
we’ll make it up to you next time.

The email appears to be from a member of Attila‘s team, reaching out to Loud Farm Booking to let them know about the cancellation:

Sadly I have some bad news to share with you. Attila flew into Berlin yesterday afternoon to start their European summer tour today. Sadly we received the news earlier today that the band decided to cancel their full tour shortly after arrival, due to an ‘issue’ with their bus. Their bus supplier provided a perfectly workable solution for them to start the tour as planned, but the band made up their mind and one-sided made the decision to cancel the full thing, without speaking to us nor to their own manager.

Both their management and us have been trying to get a hold of the band throughout the day to discuss and work out a solution for a non-existing problem. but sadly all members have been radio silent and nobody has been able to have a proper conversation with them.

It has become clear now they have no intention to still do this tour (even though they still flew to Berlin just yesterday) and are 100% cancelling all shows, without talking to anyone in their team nor providing clarification for promoters. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience caused here,
and wish I could provide you with more insight in their situation.

Comments on the Instagram post announcing the tour’s cancellation have been turned off, with only people “who follow this page for more than 24 hours can comment” available on Facebook and the entire band’s Twitter/X account inactive since 2024. So, Attila have not offered anymore explanation, or elaboration as to the situation that led them cancelling the entirety of their European tour.

The band have not released new music since 2024.
