Garth Brooks and his team had to put a halt to ticket sales for one of his upcoming shows in Kansas City, Mo., when they went on sale to the public on Friday (Oct. 23).
In a message on social media, Brooks’ team explained that they were having to reevaluate the show due to bots snapping up too many tickets.
Why Did Garth Brooks Halt Ticket Sales in Kansas City?
Brook announced a third date for the T-Mobile Center on Wednesday (Oct. 21) due to high demand.
Tickets had only been on sale for a short while on Friday when his team made the decision to pull the plug, writing:
Due to excessive bot activity, ticket sales for Garth’s third show in Kansas City have been shut down.
Garth and the promoters are evaluating next steps and the future of the show.
We appreciate your patience and will share updates as soon as possible -Team Garth
Brooks himself posted a short while later, apologizing to the fans who had legitimately tried to get tickets and promising to get the matter resolved:
Brooks has long stood against scalpers and any effort to get between himself and his fans.
Tickets to the Kansas City show were priced at $155, including all taxes and applicable fees. That includes end-stage and in-the-round seating, in keeping with Brooks’ philosophy of keeping his ticket prices as low as he can and offering his fans one fair price for every seat in the house.
The Kansas City shows are part of his ongoing 2026 Blame It All on My Roots Arena Tour.
Brooks has not yet revealed what his next steps will be in addressing the matter.
