Waiting all night for Sunday night… baseball? You bet! Zac Brown Band is priming Major League Baseball fans across the nation for Sunday night games.

Zac Brown Band Tapped for Opening Theme for Sunday Night Baseball

Country and baseball enthusiasts will now be treated to a theme song performed by Zac Brown Band prior to the first pitch of every Sunday Night Baseball broadcast on NBC throughout the season.

Think Carrie Underwood and Sunday Night Football, but this time its Brown and company with baseball. NBC also features a special intro video for the NBA featuring Lenny Kravitz.

“It was one of those experiences where you step back and think, how did we get here?,” Brown said in a statement. “We put everything we had into the performance and then watching it come together with the visuals, the production, it took on a whole new life.”

“The folks at NBC Sports really understood the energy we were going for,” he continues. “It felt like a genuine collaboration, and when I finally saw the finished product, I was really proud.”

The band debuted their opening video on Sunday (April 12) ahead of the Cleveland Guardians and Atlanta Braves matchup.

What Song Does Zac Brown Band Sing in Their Sunday Night Baseball Theme?

The video features the band walking through the tunnels of a major league baseball stadium before making their way to the field where they perform under the bright lights. Like Underwood’s SNF intro, it appears to be filmed in a studio with screens and computer generated images bringing the larger-than-life atmosphere to life.

Zac Brown Band belt out a unique baseball-themed version of the song “Karn Evil 9, 1st Impression Part 2” by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The band also weaves in a few lines of the classic “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”

There are several highlights of MLB games as well as an introduction to the night’s matchup. It’s all topped off with pyrotechnics and fireworks to get the viewers amped up for the game, as if they were actually in the stadium.

It just one of a handful of sports-related gigs the band has taken on this year. They were part of the musical lineup for the 2026 March Madness Music Festival too.

Is Zac Brown Band Touring This Year?

As far as their own gigs go, ZBB is touring this year. After the success of their Love & Fear residency at the Sphere Las Vegas, the group is taking the show on the road with a tour of the same name.

The Love & Fear Tour kicks off July 17 and runs through Nov. 21. Fitz and the Tantrums, Old Crow Medicine Show, Grace Potter and Brothers Osborne are all popping in as openers on various dates.
