WWE SummerSlam Night 2 results: Reigns ends rivalry with Rollins, retains title

Date:

SummerSlam Night 2 provided fans with plenty to digest, as U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis saw an extended rivalry come to an end and a pair of titles change possession.

In the main event, Roman Reigns got the best of former faction members-turned-rival Seth Rollins, outdueling “The Visionary” to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns was the only titleholder to leave with his belt at SummerSlam Night 2, as Baron Corbin beat Trick Williams to claim the United States Championship and Chad Gable submitted Penta to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Also on the card, Chelsea Green won a five-woman ladder match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship and Kevin Owens returned from an extended injury layoff to establish himself as the No. 1 contender for CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship.

ESPN breaks down all the action from Night 2 of SummerSlam.
