BEHEMOTH Condemn Censorship After Turkey Shows Cancelled Following Religious Pressure

0

Behemoth have issued a strong statement after their planned performances in Istanbul and Ankara were officially cancelled, following pressure from religious groups and a subsequent decision by local authorities.

In a message addressed directly to fans, the Polish blackened death metal veterans confirmed that there was no way to reverse the ruling. “Despite exhausting every possible avenue throughout the day and engaging in extensive discussions, the decision from the local authorities remains final,” the band wrote. “There is simply nothing further we can do to overturn it.”

The cancellations stem from objections by religious organizations that branded the band’s work as “satanic propaganda” and therefore unacceptable. Behemoth pushed back strongly against those claims, framing the decision as a broader attack on artistic freedom.

“This is another example of ideology being used to suppress artistic expression and restrict cultural freedom,” the band said. “Music is not a threat, but silencing it should concern anyone who values freedom of expression.”

The statement follows developments earlier this week, when planned concerts by Behemoth and Slaughter To Prevail at Zorlu Performing Arts Center Turkcell Stage were cancelled. Slaughter To Prevail were scheduled to perform on February 10, with Behemoth set to follow on February 11.

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül addressed the situation publicly on February 10, writing: “No activity that corrupts society in Istanbul has ever been permitted up to this day, and it will not be permitted in the future either.”

An official release from the governor’s office cited Turkish laws governing public meetings and provincial administration, enforcing a two-day ban on all concerts and ticketed events at Zorlu PSM and Zorlu Center.

According to reports from Bianet, Turkish broadcaster Akit TV had singled out both bands, accusing Slaughter To Prevail of “preaching satanism and stealing the faith of young people,” while describing Behemoth as “blatantly opposing religion with their satanic attire.”

Slaughter To Prevail frontman Alex Terrible responded forcefully to the allegations, rejecting any satanic affiliation. “We are brutal death metal band. I personally will go to Valhalla after I die,” he wrote, adding that he respects Turkey’s culture and religion but objected to being labeled satanic. In a later video, he reiterated that the decision was beyond the band’s control, calling it “a very sad situation.”

Behemoth, meanwhile, focused their response on the fans left disappointed by the cancellation. “To those who planned to attend, who travelled, and who stood ready to share this night with us, we are truly sorry,” the band said. “We fought to make these shows happen and we share your frustration and disappointment.”

They closed by reaffirming their connection to Turkish fans and expressing hope for the future. “Turkey has some of the most passionate and dedicated fans in the world and we hope the day will come when we can return to Istanbul and Ankara and perform for you without interference.”

2026 NFL predictions: Super Bowl LXI picks, MVP candidates

0

With the Seattle Seahawks triumphing as Super Bowl LX champions, the 2026 NFL offseason is now underway. There’s a lot to be determined between now and the start of the 2026 season with free agency and the draft looming, but it’s never too early to look ahead.

We asked 11 of our NFL experts — Matt Bowen, Jeremy Fowler, Dan Graziano, Pamela Maldonado, Eric Moody, Jason Reid, Aaron Schatz, Ben Solak, Mike Tannenbaum, Seth Walder and Field Yates — to make predictions for next season’s Super Bowl matchup and MVP winner. They also each made one big prediction about the offseason and/or upcoming season.

Are the Seahawks bound for a repeat, or will another franchise hoist the Lombardi trophy in 12 months? Who could be the next MVP? Let’s get into our early predictions, starting with who will be the next Super Bowl LXI champion.

More predictions

What’s your early Super Bowl LXI pick?

Matt Bowen, NFL analyst: Bears over Bills. Chicago needs to add pass rushers, but the foundational players are there on offense under coach Ben Johnson. With quarterback Caleb Williams‘ playmaking ability, the Bears will beat Josh Allen and Joe Brady’s Bills to win Super Bowl LXI.

Jeremy Fowler, national NFL reporter: Rams over Broncos. Los Angeles matched up with Seattle as well as anyone last season and will be back to finish the job. The Matthew Stafford-Sean McVay connection is improving with age. The secondary was a weakness late in the season, so expect the Rams to address that issue for roster balance.

Dan Graziano, national NFL reporter: Chiefs over Packers. One down season and a torn ACL isn’t enough to scare me off quarterback Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid. Mahomes recovers, along with the Kansas City offense, and the Chiefs claim their third Super Bowl title in five seasons.

Pamela Maldonado, sports betting analyst: 49ers over Bills. The 2025 season was a grind, with multiple injuries to key players such as edge rusher Joey Bosa, linebacker Fred Warner and tight end George Kittle. Yet the 49ers still piled up 12 wins and won a playoff game. A roster that’s already battle tested under that level of adversity should be a contending team once its health stabilizes.

Eric Moody, fantasy analyst: Broncos over Seahawks. The Broncos appear undervalued despite winning the AFC West and finishing tied for the league’s best record last season, while the Seahawks reminded everyone that defense still wins championships. History suggests repeating is difficult, with only nine teams winning back-to-back Super Bowl titles, and champions often lose key contributors during free agency once players cash in.

Jason Reid, Andscape senior NFL writer: Chiefs over Rams. Anyone who knows Mahomes understands that he’ll push himself to return in top form. With him entering his age-31 season, team CEO Clark Hunt, coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach believe that the Chiefs’ championship window remains wide open. They’ll do their part to help Mahomes lead the Chiefs to their fourth Super Bowl championship since 2019.

Aaron Schatz, NFL analyst: Rams over Chargers: That’s right, I’m predicting a fight for Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium. Two home teams! The Rams were No. 1 in offense this season, and offense is more consistent than defense. The Chargers will get back their offensive tackles and added Mike McDaniel to coordinate the offense, plus they have a ton of cap space to address their offseason needs.

Ben Solak, NFL analyst: Texans over Rams. I’m buying all sorts of Texans stock, as that defense is staying together, and the offense was showing positive signs of growth in a season with a new offensive coordinator and a totally retooled offensive line. With an improvement in the running game, Houston is set for an explosion.

Mike Tannenbaum, NFL analyst: Commanders over Bills. Quarterback Jayden Daniels stays healthy next season and bounces back in a big way. He plays in every game and finishes the season by outdueling Allen and the Bills in a 45-42 shootout in L.A.

Seth Walder, NFL analyst: Chargers over Packers. Am I falling for the Chargers in the offseason, just like we all do every year? Sure. But this time will be different! The 2025 Chargers’ biggest weakness — the offensive line — already has a built-in solution with their two excellent tackles (Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater) returning to health. Add McDaniel as offensive coordinator and I find myself truly believing.

Field Yates, NFL analyst: Rams over Broncos. The two teams that came up short in the conference championship games last season find a way to get over the top in 2026. The Rams will emerge as Super Bowl champs at SoFi Stadium, becoming the third team to win a Super Bowl at its home venue (the Rams won the last Super Bowl at SoFi after the 2021 season).

Who’s your pick for next season’s MVP?

Bowen: Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys. Prescott had more than 4,500 passing yards and threw 30 touchdowns this past season. With the Cowboys expected to retain wide receiver George Pickens, whom they will likely give the franchise tag, look for Prescott to produce high-level numbers again for a team that could challenge for the NFC East title in 2026 with an improved defense.

Fowler: Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons. Maybe Raheem Morris was right in saying that Robinson is the league’s best player. He’s truly breathtaking, and another season of 2,000-plus total yards will give voters something to think about — especially if Atlanta makes a playoff push. Robinson should prove impactful in Kevin Stefanski’s wide-zone system.

Graziano: Caleb Williams, QB, Bears. I see the arrow pointing up for Williams with Ben Johnson and a Bears team that arrived well ahead of schedule. Williams has that fourth-quarter clutch gene, and even if the Bears fix their defense to where he doesn’t need as many clutch performances, he should have plenty of opportunities to showcase his abilities in a tough NFC North.

Maldonado: Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers. McCaffrey is the engine of the Niners’ offense. He posted 1,202 rushing yards, had 924 receiving yards and carried the Niners through injuries all season. If San Francisco stays mostly healthy and wins 12-plus games again, voters will reward the league’s most complete offensive playmaker.

Moody: Josh Allen, QB, Bills. The window won’t stay open forever for Allen to win a Super Bowl, but Buffalo is well positioned entering the season. Since newly hired coach Joe Brady was promoted as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator in Week 11 of the 2023 season, the Bills have ranked second in points per game at 29.1, a run that included Allen winning his first MVP in 2024. He is firmly in the mix for this award again, especially if Buffalo adds a true No. 1 receiver this offseason.

Reid: Jordan Love, QB, Packers. Next season will be Love’s fourth directing Matt LaFleur’s offense. Love dazzled with his arm talent in his first three and proved the Packers right in choosing to make him the foundation of their future. Love will take things to a new level and win MVP.

Schatz: Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs. I still think Mahomes is the best player in the game and I’m comfortable picking him to win the MVP every year. His odds are as good as anyone, assuming he either returns in Week 1 from his knee injury or doesn’t miss much time.

Solak: Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens. Jackson has a full offseason to get healthy and a new offensive coordinator in Declan Doyle. When Jackson has a full season to accrue counting stats, he’s always in the conversation.

Tannenbaum: Jayden Daniels, QB, Commanders. Daniels will rebound from an injury-plagued 2025 season and reassert himself as the top quarterback of the 2024 draft class. He stays healthy, performs well throwing and running the ball and makes new offensive coordinator David Blough a prime head coaching candidate.

Walder: Allen. I think he’s the best player in football and has to shoulder such a heavy load for his team. That makes him a perennial MVP candidate, and I don’t see that changing. He didn’t even play his best ball last season. If he plays better in 2026, he certainly has a chance at a second MVP in three years.

Yates: Jackson. As a new chapter of the Ravens franchise begins, Jackson will be invigorated by Doyle, considered by many in the coaching ranks to be an NFL head coach soon. In my opinion, Jackson is still the most dynamic player in the game.

Make one more big prediction about this offseason or next season.

Bowen: Trey Hendrickson will sign with the Colts. General Manager Chris Ballard makes a splash move to sign the top free agent on the market. Hendrickson, who led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024, would immediately upgrade the Indianapolis pass rush.

Fowler: The Giants will make the playoffs. The Year 1 spike due to a top-shelf coach is a proven formula that worked last season for New England’s Mike Vrabel, Chicago’s Ben Johnson and Jacksonville’s Liam Coen. John Harbaugh hopes to have a similar impact, and New York’s roster is on the upswing. A few savvy additions this offseason would make the Giants contenders.

Graziano: The Steelers will have their first losing season since 2003. For a few years now, this roster has needed a more extensive rebuild than the team has been willing to undergo. For all the issues Steelers fans had with Mike Tomlin by the end of his tenure, there’s a good chance 2026 shows that he was actually holding things together in Pittsburgh.

Maldonado: The Bills will finally fix their offense with one decisive move — acquiring Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. They would immediately be on the top tier of Super Bowl contenders if they added Brown. Buffalo’s top priority is receiver help, and pairing him with Allen can solve its biggest limitation overnight. Buffalo has the rare mix of an elite QB, a playoff-ready roster, a clear singular need and a clear desperation to fill it. All that is missing is the blockbuster deal to put it together.

play

1:21

Will A.J. Brown still be with the Eagles next season?

Jeff Saturday and Dan Graziano debate whether A.J. Brown will still be playing for the Philadelphia Eagles next season.

Moody: Running back Travis Etienne Jr. will sign with the Chiefs during free agency. Etienne would be intriguing as a proven, versatile back who has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in three of his four healthy seasons, including 1,107 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025. His ability to contribute as both a runner and receiver (5,136 career all-purpose yards with 32 touchdowns) would boost a Chiefs backfield that averaged less 4.0 yards per carry last season and failed to produce a running back with at least 200 receiving yards.

Reid: Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones will revert to All-Pro form. Mahomes’ defensive counterpart throughout Kansas City’s dynastic run, Jones was not as disruptive in the interior or off the edge during the team’s nightmarish 2025 season. Reenergized, the future Hall of Famer will be selected as a first-team All-Pro for the fourth time in five seasons.

Schatz: The Giants will take a big leap, going from worst to first thanks to the coaching of John Harbaugh, the return of wide receiver Malik Nabers, and steps forward from quarterback Jaxson Dart and edge rusher Abdul Carter in Year 2. Like Jeremy alluded to above, it’s not as big a leap as you might think, as their underlying play-by-play performance last season suggested a 7-10 team instead of a 4-13 unit.

Solak: The Falcons will win the NFC South, as Kevin Stefanski immediately steps in as a quality head coach with a roster that just needs competent coaching and quarterback help. But Stefanski can scheme an offense around a quarterback well, and he pushes the Falcons to 10 wins (which is all it would take to win the South, anyway).

Tannenbaum: The Chargers will take a big step and win the AFC West. With offensive tackles Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater healthy, and Mike McDaniel bringing some energy, Justin Herbert & Co. get over the hump and win the division.

Walder: The Cowboys will win the NFC East. Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense played extremely well last season, which went under the radar in part because the defense was so bad. The latter should improve through regression alone. If Dallas can get its defense to be just OK, the Cowboys could become contenders very quickly.

Yates: Caleb Williams will become an All-Pro. There was a ton of good in Williams’ second pro season but still so much room for growth. Williams’ completion percentage will be the area that most point to, and I am bullish that number will improve dramatically next season. The Bears’ offense should return mostly intact in 2026, and that familiarity will be instrumental in their franchise quarterback’s development.

How Tough Love From His Dad Changed Cody Johnson’s Future

0

Cody Johnson just revealed a very personal story from when he was 14 years old, when his dad complimented him and whooped his butt all in the same moment — a moment that changed the trajectory of his life and musical career.

Johnson was a guest on the BobbyCast podcast, where he spoke about the evening that he snuck out of his parents’ house to play at a bar when he was underage.

The “Dirt Cheap” singer said, “The night I snuck out of my parents’ house to go play a bar, I think I was 14. I snuck out and hopped into a truck with a buddy that was 16, and we went down to the bar.”

The teenager was out among the drinking population when he wasn’t even old enough to drive or vote.

But he didn’t go to that honky-tonk with 100 people in it to attempt to drink underage. He went to show off his guitar and singing skills.

He continued, “The band let me jump up and play with them, and they said, ‘We’re gonna take a break, why don’t you play?'”

How Did Cody Johnson’s Dad React to His Musical Dreams?

Johnson got about three songs into his set when he looked into the crowd and saw his dad standing there watching, angry that he snuck out of the house to go to a bar.

“You wanna talk about an ‘oh sh-t,’ moment, that’s one of ’em,” he said.

But it was what his dad did next that changed everything for Johnson.

What Warning Did Cody Johnson’s Dad Give Him?

Johnson said, “I got whooped pretty good for that. My dad said, ‘You know, you play in these bars it’s gonna lead to a life of destruction, and you’re gonna wind up becoming a drug addict and an alcoholic.'”

But here’s where Johnson’s dad changed everything. He could have just whooped him and told him to never do that again. But his dad knew he had witnessed something that the masses would one day want to hear.

Taste of Country logo

Johnson said after his butt whooping his dad looked him in the eye and said, “You actually sounded really good, just so you know.”

Mendoza is the slam-dunk pick at No. 1 overall. Not only did he lead the nation in passing touchdowns (41) and total touchdowns (48) in 2025, but he also threw 27 of those passing touchdowns to no interceptions in the red zone. He thrives by throwing with accuracy (72% completion percentage, fourth-best in the FBS in 2025), excellent timing, anticipation and touch on his throws to all levels of the field. His athleticism doesn’t jump out on tape like 2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, but Mendoza can climb the pocket well and deal just fine with throwing off platform. The Jets need playmakers on defense after trading away two All-Pros in defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and cornerback Sauce Gardner at the trade deadline. Reese was an inside linebacker in college for most of his career at Ohio State, but he did play 51% of his snaps as an edge rusher in 2025. That’s going to be the 2025 Big Ten Linebacker of the Year’s ideal, long-term position as a pro. He’ll be able to maximize his athletic gifts while still having above average coverage skills for his position when needed, thanks to collegiate reps at inside linebacker. Reese is exactly what the Jets need after becoming the first team in NFL history without an interception on defense in 2025.

This is the top offensive tackle in the draft. The consensus All-American simply envelopes edge rushers at the point of attack, playing up to his immense size in the run and pass games. Mauigoa is an absolute tank in the run game — something yours truly observed at the Cotton Bowl — and he didn’t surrender a sack in the final 12 games of the 2025 season. Bailey is the most explosive player who was a full-time edge rusher in college in this 2026 draft class, and he maximized that explosion into leading the nation with 14.5 sacks. He thrives with elite timing off the snap and winning early with his signature rip move to get low to the ground and arrive at the quarterback. He also has an incredibly fun spin move to the inside. Creating more push once inside the pocket and holding the point of attack in the run game are places to improve. This pick gives new Titans coach Robert Saleh and All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons a high-end edge rusher to mold.

Tate is the safest wide receiver in the draft based on measurements and traits. He produced a nation-leading six receiving touchdowns of 30 or more air yards in 2025, which is impressive. He also has a wide catch radius thanks to his wingspan. He’s also a strong separator in the middle of his routes downfield, especially playing leverage in zone. However, I wasn’t impressed by how he struggled to play through contact at the catch point against Miami in the Cotton Bowl. Factoring in how Tate ate against mostly No. 2 corners in college opposite Jeremiah Smith is also worth noting. Fortunately for Tate, he’ll be able to play opposite another true No. 1 in Malik Nabers.

Whether the Browns’ 2026 quarterback is Shedeur Sanders, who will play himself into pressure, Cleveland’s offensive line could use an injection of youth. Fano is an athletic right tackle with refined technique. His strong suit in pass protection is his high-level balance and footwork, staying step for step with speedy, bendy edge rushers. Improvement is needed against counter moves. Fano did start 11 games at left tackle before moving to right tackle the last two years at Utah, so he’s versatile. He doesn’t have a top-tier wingspan, but Fano is a pro-ready run blocker.

His wingspan allows him to have nice range as a tackler in the run and pass games. Yours truly watched in person as Bain mauled Ohio State’s offensive tackles over and over again in the Cotton Bowl. His superpowers are his play strength, leverage and array of pass-rush moves. Bain will rotate through a rip move, a stutter step, and a powerful hump move to pressure quarterbacks, which he did 83 times in 2025 — the most in college football. Yes, McCoy missed the 2025 season with a torn ACL, but he was electric in 2024. He earned first team All-SEC honors with four interceptions and nine passes defensed. He excels in press man coverage, jamming receivers with one hand in order to remain balanced and under control. McCoy’s instincts in zone coverage are top tier as well, which in tandem with his leaping ability to make plays on the football makes him a top prospect in this draft. If healthy, McCoy is an immediate NFL starter.

Dallas needs help at cornerback with DaRon Bland battling nagging foot injuries and Trevon Diggs no longer on the team. That’s why Mansoor Delane, a unanimous 2025 All-American, is the pick here. Delane led the SEC with a 24.1 passer rating allowed when targeted, the best in the league among 82 players with at least 30 targets. He’s a smooth operator who can change direction with ease, and he has no issues in press man coverage thanks to his ability to reroute receivers at the line of scrimmage before going step for step with them. No matter what style of receiver he is facing, Delane can hang. New Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker will love him.

Jordyn Tyson is perhaps the best big-play wide receiver in this draft class. So much of his film involves him blowing by people to turn decent grabs into explosive plays after the catch. Tyson has elite timing when it comes to corralling deep balls and in tandem with breakaway speed, he’s an incredibly tough cover. He can also win with his footwork off the line of scrimmage thanks to an ability to explode into his route off a single step. The reason why Tyson drops this low is because of his injury history. However, the Rams take a swing on Davante Adams’ long-term replacement here.

Ioane is the best interior offensive lineman in this draft. As Penn State’s left guard, he didn’t allow a sack in his last two college seasons, which spanned 27 starts and 776 pass-blocking snaps. Ioane throws people out of the club in the run game and is strong when elevating to the second level to block linebackers and defensive backs. In pass protection, he stays right up on rushers with great knee bend and change of direction. Baltimore’s guards struggled in 2025, so this pick mitigates that issue.

Hood is a playmaker as the SEC’s only player with a pick-six and fumble return touchdown in 2025. He was also the only SEC player with four-plus tackles for loss and eight-plus passes defended last season. His speed allows him to run stride for stride down the field on vertical routes, and he’s quick when planting and driving to the football in zone coverage. Hood also brings a high motor in the run game. The Buccaneers are set to lose cornerback Jamel Dean in free agency, but Tampa Bay can start over with Hood, who will be just 21 years old for his entire NFL rookie season.

Lemon earned the distinction of being named college football’s top wide receiver as the 2025 Biletnikoff Award winner. He thrives out of the slot where he frees himself with quickness and agility off the line of scrimmage, well-timed route running and ball skills. Despite being 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, his play style feels bigger than his stature, which is how he regularly breaks tackles for extra yards. The Jets could use him opposite Garrett Wilson, and the only reason Lemon falls this far is his size.

The Lions need an edge rusher who can come in on the cheap and immediately contribute opposite Aidan Hutchinson. Mesidor, who will turn 25 years old this year, can check those boxes. He ranked among college football’s top five nationally in sacks (12.5, tied for third in the FBS), tackles for loss (17.5, tied for fifth in the FBS) and quarterback pressures (67, tied for fourth in the FBS) in 2025 opposite the aforementioned Bain at Miami. Mesidor has the ideal build, pass-rush technique and motor. The power and handwork never stop, and he does a great job freeing himself from offensive tackles. He can also win with speed rushing inside against guards. Mesidor’s wingspan and power allow him to anchor down on the edge in the run game. That’s what the Lions need.

McNeil-Warren is a worthy successor to safety Harrison Smith.

Yes, this pick is a direct vote of no confidence in Xavier Legette, the team’s 2024 first-rounder. Carolina has two surefire long-term guys at receiver in Jalen Coker and 2025 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan. Boston could build a massive (all 6-foot-3 or taller), youthful trio for quarterback Bryce Young. Boston is a tank who can line up in the slot and outside and can blow through press coverage without much of a struggle. He’s great at sealing off defenders from the football with a wide catch radius and a weapon in the red zone — exactly what Carolina needs.

The Cowboys still lack depth at edge rusher in the post-Micah Parsons era. Howell, the 2025 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, can help fix that. His 11.5 sacks in 2025 were the most by an A&M player since Myles Garrett’s 12.5 in 2015. Howell wins in a multitude of ways: speed, a bull rush or nifty counter moves back inside. When defending the run, he’s adept at setting the edge and has the explosion to break through the line of scrimmage to create tackles for loss.

Terrell has great instincts and quickness. The 2025 All-ACC First Team selection set Clemson records for a defensive back in forced fumbles in a season (five in 2025) and career (eight from 2023-25). His eight career forced fumbles were also the most by a cornerback in college football from 2023-25, which was the span of his career. Terrell has great agility and is light on his feet, which makes him an ideal slot corner. He’s naturally a great closer in short zone coverage. He can have issues on the outside against bigger receivers, but he’s an adept blitzer and strong in the run game. Terrell could add some much-needed youth to the Steelers’ secondary besides Joey Porter Jr.

Faulk can line up anywhere along the defensive line with his prototypical stature. He’s not a jump-off-the-screen, explosive type, but he’s agile. Faulk frees himself up rushing the passer with a bull rush or rip. Faulk could be helped by developing some counter moves when his top options don’t yield immediate results. He’s also solid against the run. Faulk is somewhat of a project, but he’s a nice talent to add to a Chargers defensive line that could be losing Khalil Mack in free agency.

The 2025 All-Big Ten First Team tight end led the nation in receiving touchdowns at the position with eight while primarily lining up on the line of scrimmage or in the slot. However, Oregon did give him some snaps on the outside and out of the backfield. Sadiq is powerful on his release off the line of scrimmage, which allows him to get open on routes up the seam or on wheel routes out of the backfield. That additionally comes in handy as a blocker in the rung game. He’s also a weapon off a tight end screen as a receiver. However, he needs to cut down on the drops — he had six in 2025, which was just one shy of the nation’s most among tight ends. Sadiq could be a best player available pick for an Eagles team that could lose Dallas Goedert in free agency.

Give the aforementioned Garrett, the 2025 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, as much help as possible to prolong his career. Defensive tackle Maliek Collins will turn 31-years-old this year, and he ended 2025 on injured reserve. Hunter is a strong and wide defensive tackle, which made him an outstanding run defender with Texas Tech in 2025. He can toss interior offensive linemen out of the way like it’s nothing, and he can move fluidly from side to side as well, which allows him to lunge for tackles for loss in the run game. Hunter has all the tools in the run game and could stand to improve his pass rush beyond a swim move. Thankfully for Hunter, Garrett can help him with that.

The Super Bowl champs might be able to retain all of them, but their cap space will be tight given all the players who need new deals after their title run. Cisse has ideal NFL size for the cornerback position, and he’s got the speed and agility required as well. He relies on his vision and top notch closing speed to close opponents’ air space to make plays on the football. He could be better with his physicality in press man coverage and against the run, but Cisse has the perfect coach to help him level up in Mike Macdonald.

Russian drone strike kills Ukrainian father and his 3 young children, seriously wounds pregnant mother

0

A Russian drone struck a home in Ukraine’s northeast Kharkiv region, killing a 34-year-old former Ukrainian soldier along with his three young children, and seriously wounding his heavily pregnant wife, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional government in Kharkiv, said Wednesday.

The local administration said in a social media post that Grygoriy Shykula was killed along with his 2-year-old twin boys and their 1-year old sister. Their mother, who is 35 weeks pregnant, was left in critical condition.

The drone completely destroyed the house in the city of Bohodukhiv, trapping the family under the rubble. Emergency services were able to rescue the mother from the debris. She sustained blast injuries, burns and a traumatic brain injury, according to regional prosecutors.

A photo shared by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine shows firefighters trying to put out the blaze after an alleged Russian drone strike destroyed a house in the village of Zolochiv, in the city of Bohodukhiv in northeast Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, killing a man and his three young children and leaving their heavily pregnant mother in critical condition, Feb. 11, 2026.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine/Handout

The local Zolochiv village council said the father was a former member of the Ukrainian military and that the family had moved recently to Bohodukhiv, which is only about 13 miles from the border with Russia. The city, which had a pre-war population of around 15,000, has faced constant Russian aerial attacks in recent weeks.

“The Russians once again attacked the private sector of Bohodukhiv with a strike drone. The impact hit a residential building, which was completely destroyed,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said in a post shared on the Telegram messaging app.

Russia has hit Ukrainian civilian infrastructure throughout its full-scale invasion of the neighboring nation, which began almost four years ago on Feb. 24, 2022. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly called for Ukraine’s partners to provide more and more sophisticated air defense systems to help protect civilians.

According to an analysis by the Kiel Institute in Germany, total foreign military aid for Ukraine shrank by 15% in 2025.

“Each such Russian strike undermines the credibility of everything being done in diplomacy to end this war, and proves again and again that tough pressure on Russia and clear security guarantees for Ukraine are the real key to ending the killings,” Zelenskyy said in a social media post Wednesday morning. “As long as the pressure on the aggressor is insufficient and as long as security for us, for Ukraine, is not guaranteed, everything else does not work.”

Russia launched 129 drones at Ukraine on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, killing at least five people and damaging key energy infrastructure around the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian officials said.

The ongoing strikes come after a brief “energy truce” announced by President Trump in late January, as his administration prepared to broker a second round of trilateral negotiations with Ukraine and Russia.

That round of talks, in Abu Dhabi, yielded the first prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia in five months and a vague agreement to continue negotiating, but no apparent progress on the major hurdles to a wider peace deal.

Zelenskyy told reporters last week that the Trump administration had given Ukraine and Russia a June deadline to reach a deal to end the war, and he said Mr. Trump had warned that U.S. pressure on both sides would increase if they failed to do so.

“The Americans are proposing the parties end the war by the beginning of this summer and will probably put pressure on the parties precisely according to this schedule,” Zelenskyy said.

Russian officials said, meanwhile, that a Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire at an industrial plant in the Russian city of Volgograd on Wednesday, forcing eight Russian airports to briefly suspend flights.
