BYU wide receiver Parker Kingston was arrested and charged Tuesday with first-degree felony rape in Washington County, Utah. The Washington County attorney’s office said in a news release Wednesday that the charges stem from an alleged Feb. 23, 2025 incident in St. George, Utah.

Washington County Attorney Jerry Jaeger said the investigation began after the alleged victim, a then-20-year-old woman, went to the hospital and reported that she was sexually assaulted by Kingston.

“Detectives with the St. George Police Department then gathered digital and forensic evidence. They also conducted interviews with the parties involved and other witnesses. The information was then turned over to the Washington County Attorney’s Office for review,” the Washington County attorney’s office said in a news release.

Kingston, 21, is currently being held in jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in Utah’s 5th Judicial District Court on Friday.

“BYU became aware today of the arrest of Parker Kingston,” BYU athletics said in a statement. “The university takes any allegation very seriously, and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices for students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”

Kingston finished the 2025 season as BYU’s top pass catcher with 66 catches for 924 yards and five touchdowns. He announced Jan. 2 that he intended to return to BYU for his final college season.

Kingston’s arrest comes less than a year after quarterback Jake Retzlaff was accused of sex assault in a civil lawsuit. The case was later dismissed, but Retzlaff left BYU because he was facing a seven-game suspension for violating the university’s honor code. He later transferred to Tulane.

Epstein survivors say they felt ‘degraded’ and a ‘lack of empathy’ from AG Pam Bondi

0

Six survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse and two family members of another accuser said they felt “degraded” during Wednesday’s contentious House Judiciary Committee hearing in which Attorney General Pam Bondi refused to face them and apologize.

Several Epstein survivors and relatives were present on Capitol Hill, where Bondi was grilled by lawmakers for over 5 hours on several matters, including the Justice Department’s handling of the Epstein case. She was specifically questioned on why released files were heavily redacted and why several survivors’ names were not.

“There was such a lack of empathy today. There was such a lack of, honestly, humanity today,” Dani Bensky said on NBC’s “Hallie Jackson NOW.”

At one point in Wednesday’s hearing, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., asked for Epstein survivors in the room to stand up and raise their hands if they hadn’t had the opportunity to meet with the DOJ. Every single one raised their hand.

Jayapal then asked Bondi to turn toward the survivors and apologize. Bondi did neither of those things.

“Something that I think all of us felt a little devastated about was that she had three opportunities to address survivors. We stood up and all she had to do was turn around and she could not even turn around and face us,” Bensky said.

Bensky has said she was 17 and a budding ballerina in 2004 when Epstein sexually abused her at his Manhattan mansion.

“I felt like such a ghost walking through Epstein’s mansion. I felt like there were so many people who saw me. There were so many people who should have spoken up,” Bensky said.

“Now, to not have AG Bondi turn around and acknowledge us, it’s the exact same type of victimization,” she continued.

Teresa Helm, who alleges Ghislaine Maxwell groomed her and that she was sexually abused by Epstein in 2002 when she was 22, said of the hearing: “There was no integrity in that room today, it seems like, when it came to Epstein and Maxwell.”

Epstein, a politically connected convicted sex offender, died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking minors. Maxwell, his co-conspirator, was convicted in 2021 on federal sex trafficking charges and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.

Sharlene Rochard said Wednesday that she felt “really degraded” and that Bondi was “not taking at all any accountability” regarding survivors. Rochard has said she met Epstein as a teenager when she was working as a model in New York.

In her opening remarks, Bondi did reference Epstein’s victims, saying: “I am deeply sorry for what any victim, any victim, has been through, especially as a result of that monster.”

Jess Michaels, another accuser, said that while Bondi apologized for Epstein’s crimes, she did not apologize for “the crimes of the cover-up.” Michaels accused Bondi of being a part of the alleged cover-up.

Marina Lacerda criticized Bondi and the DOJ for allowing the names of survivors to be published in the latest trove of files.

“She sat there in the beginning, she said sorry for what Jeffrey Epstein did to us, but yet she couldn’t apologize for what she did to us, what her department did to us,” Lacerda said. “You had one job — was to redact our names, to respect our privacy — but yet you carefully took the time to redact all these powerful, rich men.” (The Department of Justice on Tuesday released the names of three people the FBI once called co-conspirators of Epstein’s after lawmakers complained that the names had been improperly withheld.)

Lacerda has said she was 14 when she met Epstein, lured into his mansion under the pretense of being paid to give massages.

When pressed Wednesday on why survivors’ names were included in the released files, Bondi said, “We did the best we could, immediately.”

Asked whether any Epstein co-conspirators would be prosecuted, Bondi said her department has pending investigations. She did not elaborate on who or what was being investigated.

“Who, what, where, why, when? We don’t have any information,” Bensky said. “I would think that they would come to us to get that information.”

Bensky, Helm, Rochard, Lacerda, Michaels and fellow Epstein accuser Liz Stein all indicated none of them have heard from the Justice Department. Sky Roberts — the brother of Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Guiffre, who died by suicide last year — and his wife Amanda Roberts said they, too, have not heard from the DOJ.

All said they want more prosecutions.

Amanda Roberts said her late sister-in-law “named over 40 names in sealed depositions and open depositions.” However, she said, the DOJ still has not acknowledged or investigated those people.

Guiffre had claimed that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to the former Prince Andrew in the early 2000s when she was 17. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his royal titles last year, reached a legal settlement with Giuffree in 2022 for an undisclosed sum but has denied having had sex with her, as well as any wrongdoing connected to Epstein. He has never been charged.

Guiffre’s brother described Wednesday’s hearing as “gaslighting.”

“You know, she’s [Bondi] like, ‘Any survivor can come forward and talk to us.’ Well, first, you don’t really have an open-door policy,” Sky Roberts said.

“I hope the American people can continue to stand behind us,” he added. “I hope that they can demand justice, because realistically, this justice needs to happen.”

Nicole Curtis Responds After HGTV Pulls ‘Rehab Addict’

0

HGTV immediately pulled episodes of Rehab Addict after a video surfaced showing host Nicole Curtis using a racial slur during filming.

The footage, published by RadarOnline early Wednesday morning (Feb. 11), appears to show Curtis working on a renovation project when she says the slur while cameras were rolling.

The moment was not included when the episode originally aired.

Curtis, 49, is seen reacting immediately with shock: “What the f–k is that I just said?” she asks, turning to the crew.

At one point, she can be heard asking production to remove the footage. “Can you kill that?” Curtis says, before adding, “F–k my life.”

According to RadarOnline, the video was filmed two years ago in Wyoming. A source told the outlet the episode later aired — without the racial slur — during Season 9 in June 2025.

Nicole Curtis Breaks Her Silence

Hours after the network pulled the show, Curtis addressed the situation on Instagram.

“There is more to this, but my family comes first, and I need to be mom right now more than anything else,” she wrote.

I will take the time to be as I’ve always been with you, transparent and honest,” Curtis continued. “TMZ called me as I had just turned my phone on after being at school — I said this briefly — but there is more.”

Curtis did not elaborate further on what she meant by “more,” nor did she directly reference the resurfaced footage in the post.

New episodes of Rehab Addict had been scheduled to premiere at noon on Wednesday before being pulled.

HGTV Responds

In a statement to Us Weekly, HGTV confirmed it had removed the series from its platforms.

“HGTV was recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict,” the network said. “Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees — it does not align with the values of HGTV.”

The network added, “Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace.

Curtis has hosted the home renovation series since 2010, restoring historic homes in Detroit and Minneapolis before expanding to additional locations.

It remains unclear whether Rehab Addict will return to HGTV’s lineup.

8 Canceled Country Celebrities + What They Did To Earn It

There are certain things you never say and certainly things you never do in country music. Honestly, most of what got these eight celebrities canceled in country would get you scrubbed in other forms of entertainment as well, but not all of them (see No. 4 and No. 7).

This list is here to report history, not to offer an opinion on if justice was served. Five of the eight stars bounced back, and one even worked his way into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Time heals most wounds, it seems.

Parker, EDD, Griffin among finalists for ’26 Basketball Hall of Fame class

0

Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne, both former WNBA MVPs and champions, headline the finalists for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026 announced Wednesday.

Parker is the only player in WNBA history to win championships with three franchises (the Los Angeles Sparks, Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces). One of the first true positionless basketball players, Parker was a phenom at every level — winning the dunk contest at the McDonald’s All American Game in high school, two national championships at Tennessee, two Olympic Gold medals and two WNBA MVP awards.

She’s still the only player in WNBA history to win Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season (2008).

Delle Donne is also a two-time league MVP (2015 and 2019) who became the first WNBA player to shoot 50% from the field, 40% from 3 and 90% on free throws. She led the Washington Mystics to their first championship in 2019, cementing her legacy as one of the greatest pure shooters the game has seen.

Two members of the LA Clippers‘ “Lob City” era were also named as finalists. Six-time All-Star Blake Griffin turned around the fortunes of the beleaguered franchise with an electric, high-flying style, punctuated by his win in the 2011 slam dunk contest in which he jumped over a Kia automobile.

Griffin grew into a far more complete player over his 14 seasons in the league, finishing his career with more than 14,000 points and 3,000 assists.

Doc Rivers, who coached many of those Lob City teams, was also selected as a finalist. Rivers, whose 1,114 (and counting) career coaching wins rank eighth on the all-time list, led the Boston Celtics to an NBA championship in 2008. He is the current coach of the Milwaukee Bucks.

A’mare Stoudemire is a finalist again. Stoudemire averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds in 846 career games over 14 seasons for Phoenix, New York, Dallas and Miami, the first eight of which were for the Suns.

The 6-foot-10 forward/center was a six-time All-Star and an All-NBA first-team selection in 2006-07, forming one-half of a formidable pick-and-roll duo in Phoenix with point guard Steve Nash.

Stoudemire was also named the 2003 NBA Rookie of the Year after entering the league directly from high school.

Other player finalists include Kevin Johnson, Buck Williams and Marques Johnson. Official Joey Crawford is a finalist, as is Tal Brody, who helped shape Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball, and Mike D’Antoni, in the contributor category.

Other coaches besides Rivers include Gonzaga‘s Mark Few, Houston‘s Kelvin Sampson and Jerry Welsh, who coached Potsdam in upstate New York to NCAA Division III titles in 1981 and 1986. They’re joined by Gary McKnight and Dick Motta.

The 1996 gold medal-winning U.S. women’s national team will also be considered for induction, as will Jennifer Azzi, who was a member of that Atlanta Games team and is a finalist again as an individual. Accompanying her as a women’s committee finalist is Chamique Holdsclaw.

Molly Bolin-Kazmerm, the first player signed by the Women’s Professional Basketball League, is a returning finalist nominated by the women’s veterans committee.

The final Class of 2026 will be announced during the NCAA Final Four weekend in April, with the formal enshrinement ceremonies scheduled for August in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

CAGE FIGHT Announce New Album Exuvia, Share Scorching Single “Un Bon Souvenir”

0

UK metal band Cage Fight have announced their second studio album, Exuvia, set for release on May 1 via Spinefarm. The news arrives alongside a new single, “Un Bon Souvenir”, and its accompanying video — an unflinching statement of intent from a band leveling up in both sound and substance.

Comprised of vocalist Rachel Aspe, guitarist James Monteith, drummer Nick Plews, and bassist Will Horsman, Cage Fight continue to channel hardcore’s raw physicality while pushing into more expansive and emotionally charged territory.

Lyrically, “Un Bon Souvenir” pulls no punches. Aspe explains: “Don’t bite the hand that feeds. This song is a reference to a previous experience in a band controlled by a toxic, manipulative person. It’s a reminder that bringing people down won’t elevate you. A challenging experience, but as he once said, it’s still a good memory, ça reste un bon souvenir.”

The video expands on those themes of power and deception. “The video depicts the unraveling of the protagonist’s false world, built on manipulation and control,” Aspe says. “Though he initially appears strong, his convictions are fragile… Once seeming to be the rock of this world, he is exposed as a snake. This is the collapse of a false king.”

Recorded by Sam Bloor at Lower Lane Studios and mixed by Jim Pinder (Sleep Token, Malevolence), Exuvia preserves the old-school hardcore heart of Cage Fight — meaty grooves, pummeling rhythms, and “a wave of furious anger that feels like a punch to the gut.” At the same time, the album broadens the band’s palette with layered atmospheres and melodic depth, making their sound feel bigger, tighter, and more epic than ever.

Across its 11 tracks, Exuvia shows a band unafraid to experiment. “Pick Your Fighter” features guest vocals from Julien Truchan of Benighted and draws unlikely inspiration from the French pop track “Et c’est parti…” by Nâdiya — even if its crushing heaviness gives nothing away.

The album also marks a major milestone for Aspe, who wrote all the lyrics herself for the first time. The results are deeply personal, tackling anxiety, assault, online harassment, and grief.

Visually, Exuvia ties these themes together through its striking cover art, shot by Manuel Acquualeni, which depicts a radiation mask. Pre-orders are available here.
