Paramount just announced the series’ plot, premiere date, Season 1 schedule and more. Plus we’ve got 14 pictures that show a new villain is lurking.

What Is Dutton Ranch About?
Let’s start with the official description from Paramount and then dissect.
As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.
That paragraph includes one important change. This show is set in South Texas, where Beth and Rip have a ranch. That’s far from Montana, where they settled at the end of Season 5 of Yellowstone. What forced the relocation switch should be revealed early on.
In Texas, the couple have neighbor issues. This is something that has dogged the Duttons for over 100 years. In fact it drove the plot of both 1923 and Yellowstone at times. Season 1 is likely to focus on this feud and it looks like it’s going to be bloody.
The tone and tenor look to be very similar to what Yellowstone fans came to know and love. There will be lots of blood.
Dutton Ranch Cast:
In addition to Reilly, Hauser and Little, Dutton Ranch will feature legend Annete Bening as Beulah Jackson, a “powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.” She sure sounds pretty villain-y, right?
Ed Harris is also slated to play Everett McKinney, “a weathered veteran and veterinarian who treats animals with compassion and understanding and has a good sense of humor.
From there, confirmed actors are Jai Courtney as Rob-Will (no further info, but he looks tough), Natalie Alyn Lind as Oreana (looks like she’s Carter’s new girlfriend), J.R. Villarreal as Azul, Juan Pablo Raba as Joaquin and Marc Menchaca as Zachariah, a “newly released jailbird trying to rebuild his life as a wrangler and cowboy.”
When Does Dutton Ranch Begin?
Season 1 of Dutton Ranch begins on Friday May 15. In fact, two episodes will drop on Paramount+ and both will air at 8PM ET that night on Paramount Network, where Yellowstone aired.
After that, a new episode will air weekly. Season 1 will include nine episodes, which would put a finale date of July 3 if it stayed on track weekly.

Full disclosure, we’re not sure which new Yellowstone universe cast members are going to be villains but we are sure that these 14 Dutton Ranch first-look pictures reveal at least one new Beth and Rip nemesis.
Is it Rob-Will? Or maybe the more polished Everett McKinney (played by Ed Harris) is the bad guy. Could it be Annette Bening as Beulah Jackson? Yellowstone fans know to never underestimate the women of the show.

How Louisville can advance to the Elite Eight: The Cardinals face a Michigan team that cruised in its first two tournament games, beating Holy Cross by 35 and NC State by 29. Sophomore standouts Olivia Olson (27 points against the Wolfpack) and Syla Swords (26) have posed challenges for defenders all season, and the Cardinals will need to figure out some way to keep them from taking over the game. Louisville didn’t guard the 3-point line against Alabama as well as it wanted to, and it can’t afford to give the Wolverines those kinds of looks. Louisville is looking for its ninth trip to the Elite Eight, while Michigan seeks its second. — Michael Voepel
Cleanup efforts were underway as locals came together to help displaced families returning to destroyed homes. Mac Burton, who lives in Wailua Beach, went out into the streets of the North Shore community Sunday to help his neighbors.
Cleanup, he said, is going to take months. “Anything that was, you know, 4 feet or below, it is just completely wiped out,” he said.

Burton said that many homes still have standing water in them and that even when the water level goes down, they’re left with “a ton of mud.” Wood homes that are still standing will face mold and water damage, he said.
“Everyone’s kind of in the street, just shoveling out mud and pulling out soaking debris and doing whatever they can to kind of start drying things out,” he said. “But we’re still without power here, so it’s making some of those efforts a little more difficult.”
Burton was awake when the flooding began early Saturday. As he watched the water level rise in the street, he began to wake up his neighbors. “I was knocking on doors and just kind of yelling, like, ‘Hey, I think everyone should wake up. This is kind of a big deal,’” he said.

Lamb Of God has been doing the press rounds as they ride the high of their latest release, Into Oblivion, released less than two weeks ago, with RandyBlythe seemingly taking every opportunity possible to discuss the current political landscape, what people must do in response to it, and how more artists must have more courage to speak about politics and have to “grow a spine.”
When chatting to Consequence for their YouTube channel, Blythe was asked by Heavy Consequence‘s Spencer Kaufman what motivated Blythe to put out his recent essay on Substack. The Lamb Of God frontman responded (as transcribed by Metal Injection): “You know, read the essay. That explains everything. I think people are just beaten down now, a lot of people feel as if their voice doesn’t matter, and their vote doesn’t matter, and they’re becoming ground down by the daily insanity that is life here now. I mean, everything is constantly exploding, it seems like not just here in America but everywhere,” he acknowledged.
He continued on to say, “and if people want things to get better, they have to remain engaged. Tweeting, and having this online outrage and stuff is not enough. You have to become politically engaged. Sometimes you have to protest, sometimes you have to go to the ballot box.
“And the selection of candidates presented from both parties is less than ideal to put it mildly, so I think people have to start reading up on issues, they have to start reading on candidates, they have to start looking at candidates and asking where is their money coming from,” Blythe elaborates further. “Ever since Citizens United and the where basically corporations are given personhood legally as far as donating to political campaigns, our electoral process has just been corrupted.”
“We need candidates who are not beholden to corporations and special interest groups. It’s time for people to start looking deeply at their local politicians, at their Congress people, to become engaged, to act like they give a fuck, rather than just sitting here and hand-wringing silently or in some weird social media echo chamber.”
Randy Blythe has been notably outspoken about his unwillingness to not keep politics out of music, the rise in fascism, and how the 1% are not our friends, and Kaufman asked if Blythe had any idea as to why other artists maybe aren’t as willing to put themselves out there as he is.
“I think it’s this court of public opinion – which is false,” when it comes to to promoting educational and political discussions, “Social media is not social. In the beginning, it used to be a place where people exchanged ideas, like the internet, things have changed rapidly. So, within these online echo chambers, if you say anything, I’m sure there will be comments about this somewhere, people are pretty vociferous online. ‘Oh, well, you’re a Nazi,’ or ‘Oh, you’re a libtard‘ – they’re comfortable name-calling and all this stuff. In the real world, for the most part, that doesn’t happen and I think that with online culture – which has led to many problems – I think particularly with young people, there’s this sense of judgment of, ‘If I say something, I’m going to be judged.’ I think it’s amplified now because everybody has a voice. I didn’t start going to punk rock shows when I was younger because I gave a fuck what other people thought.
Blythe pushes the conversation further, saying “I’m not Taylor Swift… I’m not a mass entertainer. I don’t care about appeasing the algorithm, or streaming numbers, or any of that bullshit. I come from the underground music scene, that’s just the way it is, the world I come from has always come from a political background. I think there’s this false feeling of disaster will unfold if you lose your opinion, you’re going to lose this or that. Get over it. Grow a spine.”

The 2026 Houston Open tees off on Thursday from Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, which marks Brooks Koepka’s sixth PGA Tour event of the season since returning from LIV Golf. After two rough showings to begin his return, the nine-time PGA Tour winner has finished in the top 20 in three straight tournaments, and given that many of the top golfers from the last few seasons are taking the Houston Open 2026 off, the SportsLine model likes Koepka to have his best finish of the year. He’s finished in the top 25 in four of six tournaments, so he’s often been in the hunt for a top-10 spot this season. Hojgaard is 13th on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained this season and has been killing the ball with his driver this year, ranking 14th in driving distance. He’s also 10th in scrambling, which has provided a lift, as despite his drives going far, they aren’t always going straight, ranking 134th in driving accuracy. But if the 25-year-old can straighten out those drives in a weaker field, the model certainly sees value in him at more than 3-1 odds to finish in the top 10, which he’s done in 33% of his tournaments this year. In comparison, +340 odds give an implied odds of 22.7%, showcasing nice value.
At DraftKings Sportsbook, Group C features Scott, Ben Griffin, Harris English, Michael Thorbjornsen and Marco Penge. Scott is the only one of the five the model has projected to finish in the top 10, yet he had the second-longest odds to win this DraftKings grouping. Scott is a 14-time PGA Tour winner, as the 45-year-old will have the experience factor over the Houston Open field. He’s made the cut in both of his career Memorial Park Golf Course events. This season, Scott has made the cut in each of his six PGA Tour events, including two top-11 finishes over his last three tournaments, and he’s 18th on the PGA Tour in scoring average. The model sees strong value in Scott, given his odds in this grouping competition.

Kyiv — The White House wants Congress to provide at least $200 billion more in funding for the war in Iran, and President Trump says that’s partly due to aid for Ukraine having depleted U.S. weapons stockpiles as it fends off Russia’s ongoing full-scale invasion.
“This is a very volatile world,” Mr. Trump said Thursday. “We want to have vast amounts of ammunition, which we have right now — we have a lot of ammunition, but it was taken down by giving so much to Ukraine.”
Throughout his second term, Mr. Trump has criticized the Biden administration for, in his view, providing armaments to Ukraine that America’s defense industry could not quickly replenish.
Last summer, after a review of stockpiles, the U.S. paused the shipment of some weapons to Ukraine. Those weapons transfers were eventually reinstated under a new initiative that sees NATO allies foot much of the bill, but the episode made it clear the White House considers support for Ukraine’s defense an obstacle to ensuring America’s own defensive stockpiles remain up to the demands of any future conflict.
Now, however, Ukraine is offering reasons to reassess that viewpoint. As the war in Iran depletes U.S. stocks of interceptor missiles, Ukrainian officials are offering deals to help replenish them. On Saturday, Ukrainian officials met Trump administration representatives to discuss, among other topics, a deal for the two countries to co-produce drones and drone interceptors.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said the agreement could be worth between $35-50 billion. He’s also said there are several other potential deals in the works with America’s Persian Gulf allies, whose urgent need for Ukrainian drone interceptors has become a public matter amid Iran’s relentless attacks.
But experts say the deals currently materializing extend beyond immediate air defense needs in the Middle East, and they could lay the foundation for longer-term U.S.-Ukraine defense industrial partnerships.
Iran war eating up Patriot interceptor missiles much faster than Ukraine
Soon after the U.S. began providing weapons from its own arsenal to Ukraine in 2022, concerns emerged over the ability of America’s defense industry to replace them. Most alarming were potential shortages of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) interceptor missiles, which are among the most effective weapons to shoot down incoming ballistic missiles.
“We realized that we now had a defense industrial base with no excess capacity to ramp up for wartime requirements,” Matt Tavares, a defense analyst who served as a Pentagon adviser for multiple administrations, told CBS News. “Some of the equipment that we gave to the Ukrainians could not be immediately backfilled by the defense industry.”
When President Trump returned to power in 2025, his administration promised to jumpstart production of air defense munitions and to be more judicious about doling them out to allies. Beginning last summer, some military shipments were redirected, including 20,000 anti-drone missiles originally intended for Ukraine that were instead sent to U.S. Air Force units in the Middle East.
In January, the Pentagon announced a deal with Lockheed Martin to triple production of Patriot interceptors.
But the war in Iran has complicated the Defense Department’s weapons conservation efforts.
America’s Middle East allies burned through 800 Patriot interceptors as they fended off Iran’s retaliatory attacks during the first week of the war alone, according to Zelenskyy, who noted that his country had used only 600 of the Patriots during four years of war with Russia.
Experts have said the rapid use of these expensive munitions is likely driving, at least in part, the White House’s request for another $200 billion from Congress — which is nearly four times the $70 billion in military aid provided to Ukraine since 2022.
“To the extent that U.S. stockpiles are being depleted, it has much more to do with what has been going on in the Middle East over the last nine months than what has happened in Ukraine,” Thomas Karako, director of the Missile Defense Project at the Washington D.C.-based Center for Strategic and International Studies, told CBS News.
Can Ukraine offer long-term solutions to shore up U.S. weapons stockpiles?
As the Iran war drains interceptor stockpiles, the U.S. and its Gulf allies have turned to Ukraine for its drone defense expertise. President Zelenskyy said last week that Ukraine had sent more than 200 drone experts to the Middle East to help defend military installations and civilian centers from Iranian attacks.
In return, Ukrainians hope to receive more of the Western interceptor missiles that have been so crucial to their own air defense. Asked by journalists in Kyiv last week whether missile shipments from the U.S. and Europe to Ukraine could be further disrupted due to the Iran war, Zelenskyy said, “the risk is very high,” and stressed that getting more Patriot missiles was “our priority.”

But the deals now in the works between Kyiv and Washington, and Kyiv and Gulf states, likely won’t yield direct swaps of armaments to bolster Ukrainian or Middle Eastern air defenses in the short-term.
“The problem is how quickly we can actually produce Patriot interceptors. I would imagine that the Gulf, right now, they want to hold onto all of their interceptor stocks because they don’t know when they’ll be backfilled,” Dara Massicot, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, told CBS News.
She said it could be, for Ukraine, more about long-term gains.
“There is a way here where they could partner on drones, get that capital investment, and then that money that flows into the defense sector can be used to develop niche things like long-range strike or air defense know-how,” Massicot said.
That kind of arrangement could also prove just as beneficial politically for Kyiv, even if it doesn’t help with its immediate war needs.
“This could be a moment where the Ukrainians helping out here elicit some good will on the part of the United States, and show that they are a contributor, and not merely a drain on security resources,” said Karako.
Earlier in the day, Trump said that U.S. strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure would stop for a five-day period following “very good” and “productive” talks with Iranian leaders.
