SEPULTURA Recruits Members Of TITÃS For New Single “Beyond The Dream”
Brazilian metal pioneers Sepultura are preparing to bring their four-decade career to a close, with their farewell activities continuing throughout the year on the Celebrating Life Through Death tour and culminating in final releases that mark the end of the band’s recording legacy.
As part of that closing chapter, the group previously announced a final EP titled The Cloud of Unknowing, set for release on April 24, 2026. Now, they have unveiled its second single, “Beyond the Dream,” described by the band as one of the most emotionally significant pieces of their farewell era.
The track represents a stylistic shift for Sepultura, exploring a ballad format that leans into melody and reflection rather than aggression. To achieve this, the band collaborated with members of Brazilian rock group Titãs – specifically Sérgio Britto and Tony Bellotto – both of whom have long-standing creative ties to Sepultura and are known for their work on classic songs such as “Polícia.”
According to the band, the collaboration was a direct artistic exchange rather than a distant feature, with members of both groups contributing to the songwriting process.
As Sepultura draw the curtain on their storied career, The Cloud of Unknowing stands as a testament to their enduring influence and a final creative statement for fans worldwide. Pre-orders for The Cloud of Unknowing are available here. Get your tickets for the below dates here.

2026 MLB awards tracker: Odds for MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year
As another MLB season gets underway, the New York Yankees‘ Aaron Judge (+195) and the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ Shohei Ohtani (-135) are, once again, the big favorites to win the American League and National League MVP awards, respectively. Ohtani, with the seeming inevitability of his fifth MVP award, has attracted a leading 56.1% of handle at BetMGM, but the New York Mets‘ Juan Soto (+700) has the highest ticket count and the Philadelphia Phillies‘ Bryce Harper (30-1) is considered the sportsbook’s largest liability.
The AL is, perhaps predictably, a bit more divided with Bobby Witt Jr. attracting a leading 17.3% of wagers at BetMGM and having already moved down to +450 from +500 at DraftKings. Julio Rodriguez has also made a solid move down to 12-1 from 17-1 and has the most handle at BetMGM, but the sportsbook’s largest liability is the Red Sox’s Roman Anthony (14-1).
The NL Cy Young race got a lot more interesting when reigning winner and preseason favorite, Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, got blown up in his first start of the season, moving him from +210 to +350. As a result, the Phillies’ Cristopher Sanchez is the new odds leader at +330. In the AL, Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal (+300) and Boston’s Garrett Crochet (+360) are well ahead of the rest of the field.
As for NL Rookie of the Year, there’s really only one name bettors are looking at, even if he’s not in MLB yet: Pittsburgh super prospect Konnor Griffin, who is +600 and has attracted over 50% of the handle at BetMGM to be its largest liability; Cincinnati Reds infielder Sal Stewart is the odds leader at +400.

It’s not just oil — the Iran war is disrupting helium and aluminum supplies. Here’s the impact.
The Iran war is not only disrupting the global energy market but is also threatening the world’s supply of helium and aluminum, key materials used in products such as semiconductor chips, medical equipment and other everyday goods.
Qatar, which accounts for roughly one-third of the world’s helium supply, stopped producing helium this month following Iranian strikes on two liquid natural gas (LNG) facilities owned by state-run QatarEnergy.
Helium is a byproduct of natural gas processing, and attacks on Qatar’s liquefied natural gas facilities mean it could take years to rebuild production lines. Earlier this month, QatarEnergy told Reuters that the attacks wiped out 17% of the country’s LNG export capacity, and that repairs could take three to five years.
Those complications could add to the strains on the global economy beyond the impact of higher oil and gas prices, which so far have drawn the lion’s share of attention from consumers, businesses and economists. The helium shortage has largely been overlooked because the effects of oil supply constraints have been so acute and immediate, with the average price of gasoline on Tuesday hitting $4 a gallon for the first time since August 2022.
“We were so focused on gas supply that we didn’t see the helium shortage,” Vidya Mani, a global supply chain expert and associate professor of business administration at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, told CBS News.
Only a handful of countries produce helium, which means that a disruption from one of those nations can destabilize the global market. The United States is the biggest producer, accounting for 81 million cubic meters last year. Qatar, Algeria and Russia are the other major producers, but Russian supplies are banned under U.S. and European Union sanctions.
Semiconductors and helium
Because helium is highly effective at transferring heat, making it ideal for rapid cooling, it’s essential for manufacturing semiconductors. Chipmakers use it to cool wafers — the discs of silicon printed with tiny electronic circuits.
Helium is used during the etching process, when material that’s been deposited on a wafer is scraped away to form transistor structures, said Jacob Feldgoise, an analyst at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology.
“Helium is an essential component of semiconductor manufacturing, and a significant proportion of it comes from Gulf countries,” Mani said. “Imagine not having chips to power laptops, iPhones and small appliances? Everything with circuitry runs on one, and all of those will be hurt if we don’t get helium soon.”
The medical industry also relies on helium to cool superconducting magnets powering magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, machines. And the space industry uses helium to purge rocket fuel tanks, a demand that is expected to grow because of more frequent launches by companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin.
Impact on iPhones, AI
Mani said manufacturers that use helium tend to store no more than two months’ worth of supplies of the gas. If those resources start to run low, “You’re going to see a much wider impact,” she said.
Helium suppliers are already telling their U.S.-based customers, including semiconductor chip and electronics manufacturers, to expect shortages and price hikes, industry experts said.
“They are already receiving ‘force majeure’ and allocations letters,” Cliff Cain of Pulsar Helium, a helium exploration and development company, told CBS News. “The effects are already being felt.”
He added, “Everything from vehicle chips to iPhones will definitely be affected.”
Because there’s no way to boost supplies of helium in the near term, a global helium shortage will crimp chip manufacturing, he added. That could interfere with building out AI data centers and curtail companies’ investment plans, according to Oxford Economics.
“Semiconductor manufacturers have already indicated that they will not be able to meet their 2030 manufacturing goals,” Cain said. “We have resources here, but it’s not going to make up for the 33% disruption globally.”
Yvette Connor, risk advisory leader at CohnReznick, a business advisory firm, said American AI companies’ growth could be blunted by a chip shortage related to helium constraints. “It could potentially slow their velocity, not their capability,” she told CBS News.
Aluminum hits a 4-year high
A prolonged conflict in Iran could also lead to shortages of nitrogen and aluminum, potentially driving up food and packaging costs for U.S. consumers, according to supply chain experts.
Roughly 9% of the world’s aluminum supply is produced by Gulf countries, and local disruptions are already having an impact, according to Stephen Hare and Sebastian Tillet of Oxford Economics. Aluminum prices this week touched a four-year high.
“Disruptions in the region are reducing available supply, while rising energy costs are increasing production costs across the global cost curve. Together, this is tightening market conditions and pushing aluminum prices higher,” Hare and Tillet told CBS News.
An aluminum shortage would have a direct impact on consumer goods packaging costs in the near term, Mani said. It’s also used extensively in the automobile and electronics sectors, which can “expect to see a crunch,” she said.
Judge blocks Trump order to end funding for National Public Radio and Public Broadcasting Service

Luke Combs’ 2026 Tour Schedule Allows Him to Be a Dad First
Although Luke Combs is on the road this year with his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, he still has plenty of time to be Dad to his three boys.
And it’s exactly how he planned it.
Luke Combs Strategically Scheduled His 2026 Tour to Be Home More
Touring is a grueling process.
As fans we see the big show, the pretty lights and an energetic act on stage giving it all they’ve got. What we don’t see is the long hours traveling between cities and the many days spent away from home.
Those days turn into weeks, which turn into months.
That’s why Combs put all of his shows on the weekend, essentially “condensing” his tour and his time away from home into bite-sized chunks.
“It’s almost this cheat code of being an at-home, really present Dad — take your kids to school and pick them up and give them baths — but also on the weekends, I just go and play stadiums instead of go and play golf,” he tells People.
A Record-Breaking Tour: Luke Combs Sets New Attendance Record in Las Vegas
The strategy is literally in the name of the tour.
The My Kinda Saturday Night Tour features shows on Saturdays, with occasional dates on Sundays for the U.S. portion of the trek.
Things will change for his international dates, but it’s better to knock those out with an extended stay and then come home.
When you think about it, weekend shows also give the family time to join Combs if they choose to without disrupting the kids’ weekday routine.
Who Are Luke Combs’ Kids?
Combs and his wife Nicole are parents to three boys: Tex Lawrence, 3, Beau Lee, 2, and Chet Wiley, who was born in February 2026.
As any parent has experienced — especially with young kids — the boys are at the center of the couple’s lives.
Juggling young kids and a country music career is not easy. The “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” hitmaker describes it as a “storm” — it won’t last forever, but it does need attention.
“It’s like, okay, well, let’s just survive this storm of life, and it’s a good storm, but a storm nonetheless,” Combs explains. “It’s like the entire foundation of your entire life changes. Our kids become the thing that your life revolves around.”
It’s one of the reasons the country standout didn’t do a traditional tour last year. Instead, he opted to jump on a few festival stages, but that was it.
Take This Award and Shove It: Luke Combs Makes a Bold Statement About the Music Industry
To him, family will always come first. Even if that means sitting out a major award show or industry event.
“If that means I piss off people by not hanging out with people I don’t even know, so other people think I’m cool, then who the f-ck cares? If that’s the reason I don’t win a Grammy or a CMA Award, then f–king do I even want one?”
Combs’ My Kinda Saturday Night Tour runs through Aug. 2.
The trek is in support of his new album The Way I Am, which debuted on top of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

UNC’s coaching search: Final Four impact, updates on Tommy Lloyd, Billy Donovan, other top candidates

North Carolina’s coaching search is heating up with Arizona’s Tommy Lloyd, Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan and Michigan’s Dusty May reportedly in the program’s crosshairs as top candidates following last week’s firing of Hubert Davis. Lloyd’s Wildcats dominated over the weekend reach the Final Four along with May’s Wolverines, while Donovan — who previously won two national championships at Florida — responded to speculation about his interest by simply saying he was “focused” on his NBA team.
May and Lloyd are facing off Saturday night in Indianapolis with a trip to the national championship game on the line, which puts the UNC vacancy on the back burner for both coaches — at least publicly.
Michael Jordan, a former North Carolina great and six-time NBA World Champion, has been asked to assist in UNC’s coaching search and provide resources to support the basketball program, according to TarHeel247’s Andrew Jones. TarHeel247 is the 247Sports team site that covers UNC athletics.
This note on Jordan, who also won a National Championship as a freshman at UNC in 1982, aligns with University of Wisconsin Green Bay head coach Doug Gottlieb’s previously inkling from Sunday night’s appearance on Colin Cowherd’s podcast where he said Jordan had reached out to Lloyd last week.
In connection with the search, the university announced Sunday that all basketball resources are being pushed toward making the right hire, and ongoing discussions about the future of the Smith Center in Chapel Hill have been suspended. Those will ramp back up once a new coach is hired and he gets an opportunity to sit down with university decision-makers before moving forward with plans.
TarHeel247 reported on Monday that if UNC offered Donovan the job, he would leave the Bulls and return to the collegiate coaching ranks. Donovan led the Gators to five Final Four trips during his tenure, culminating with consecutive national titles during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Donovan hasn’t coached in college in 11 years, however.
“Over the years, I’ve had a lot of college guys reach out to talk to me,” Donovan said when asked about the UNC vacancy. “It’s different in dealing with players who are being paid now. I also think the cycle of the NBA today is totally different than the cycle of college. I’m focused on what I have to do right now. Like anything else, things are always changing in the game of basketball.”
Final Four dilemma for Tommy Lloyd
An answer from Lloyd on the UNC opening isn’t expected until after Arizona’s season is over. The Wildcats play the fellow top-seeded Wolverines this weekend. Lloyd is 148-35 overall at Arizona across five seasons and has taken the Wildcats to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament four times. Lloyd did not rule out interest in the Tar Heels’ position when asked prior to his team’s win over Arkansas last week in the Sweet 16.
“I think we have a chance to advance in this tournament game by game, but I’m not delusional,” Lloyd said. “I know we could lose tomorrow, but this team deserves my full focus. So, there’s not one thing that is going to knock me off my path. I’m 100% focused on Arizona basketball and this program, and I can’t wait till the ball gets thrown up tomorrow and then can’t wait to try to figure out a way to come out on top.”
Former Tar Heels player Justin Watts said on the “Tar Heel247 Basketball” podcast that Lloyd previously wanted the UNC job when it opened in 2021 following the retirement of Roy Williams. Lloyd worked as an assistant at Gonzaga at the time and ended up at Arizona after the Tar Heels landed Davis.
“Tommy Lloyd wanted the job before he went to Arizona. If Arizona wins, I think it’s out of the question,” Watts said. “If they lose, it’s kind of like how we got Roy. Kansas was in the Final Four, they were interviewing him about it, and it was lingering over his head. Then they lost, and he ended up coming to Carolina.
“Roy had a lot more ties than Tommy Lloyd, other than Lloyd wanting the job before he went to Arizona. I would like to have Tommy Lloyd out of all the options we know about. I like how he has developed that Arizona program. They’ve been pretty consistent since he’s been there.”
“Arizona is going to have another good coach after me. I promise you.”
After No. 1 seed Arizona cruised to a 79–64 victory over Purdue on Saturday in the West Regional in San Jose, Calif., Lloyd had somewhat of a bizarre answer to a question about getting to the Final Four and staying connected to former Wildcat players.
“A ton. I love those guys, and they have given me a better life because they helped build this program to what it is now. The legacy is so strong. Those guys have been so cool and so welcoming to me,” Lloyd said about the Arizona basketball family.
The next quote certainly raised eyebrows among those following the UNC coaching search, with Lloyd now featured as the central character.
“You know, the sun may be shining on this team and me coaching it right now, but when it’s shining on you, you got to fight like hell to protect it and build it,” Lloyd added. “So, that’s what I feel like my number one responsibility is, to fight to protect the program and fight to build it for those who came before me and for those that are going to follow after me, because you know what, Arizona is going to have another good coach after me. I promise you. The place is special.”

May has the Wolverines back in the Final Four for the first time since 2018 in his second season. Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said this week he wants May to finish his career in Ann Arbor, but knows keeping an elite coach in tow will be difficult.
Buyout figures will also come into play for the Tar Heels in pursuit of active coaches. Lloyd’s buyout is $11 million at Arizona, while May’s number sits at $7 million.
Meta, TikTok and YouTube aren’t fully complying with account ban, Australia says
MELBOURNE, Australia — Australia’s online safety watchdog said Tuesday it was considering court action against Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube alleging they are not doing enough to keep Australian children younger than 16 off their platforms.
Experts say the Australian courts could decide what steps the platforms can reasonably be expected to take under the laws that took effect on Dec. 10 banning young children from holding accounts.
Julie Inman Grant, who is Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, on Tuesday released her first compliance report since those laws took effect demanding 10 platforms remove all Australian account-holders younger than 16.
While 5 million Australian accounts had been deactivated, a substantial number of Australian children continued to retain accounts, create new accounts and pass platforms’ age assurance systems, the report said.
Inman Grant said in a statement her office had “significant concerns about the compliance” of half of those 10 platforms. Her office was gathering evidence against the five that they had not taken “reasonable steps” to prevent young children holding accounts.
Courts could order fines of up to 49.5 million Australian dollars ($33 million) for systemic failures to comply. eSafety would decide on whether to initiate court action against any platform by midyear.
Age-restricted platforms that aren’t under investigation are Reddit, X, Kick, Threads and Twitch.
Communications Minister Anika Wells said the five criticized platforms were deliberately not complying with Australian law.
“Social media platforms are choosing to do the absolute bare minimum because they want these laws to fail,” Wells told reporters.
“This is the world-leading law. We’re the first in the world to do it. Of course they don’t want these laws to work because they want that to be a chilling effect on the dozen countries that have come out since Dec. 10 to follow Australia’s step,” she added.
eSafety had identified “poor practices” such as platforms allowing unlimited attempts for a user to pass their age assurance methods and prompting the user to try to pass the age assurance method even after they declared themselves underage.
Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, told The Associated Press it was committed to complying with Australia’s social media ban. “We’ve also been clear that accurately determining age online is a challenge for the whole industry,” the statement said.
Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, said it has locked 450,000 accounts in compliance with the law and continued to lock more every day.
“Snapchat remains fully committed to implementing reasonable steps under the legislation and supporting its underlying goal of improving online safety for young Australians,” a Snap statement said.
TikTok declined to comment on Tuesday and Alphabet Inc., which owns YouTube and Google, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Lisa Given, an information sciences expert at RMIT University in Melbourne, said she expected the courts will decide whether platforms have taken “reasonable steps” to exclude young children.
“If a tech company has said: look, we put in age assurance, we’ve done all these steps. That’s reasonable. Even though the aged assurance technologies are flawed, whose fault is that? Should they be held accountable for a piece of technology that is not 100% and likely not going to be 100% foolproof any time soon?” Given said.
“That’s really the crux of it: what the courts will deem reasonable,” she added.
Reddit has filed one of two constitutional challenges to the social media ban in the Australian High Court. The other was filed by Digital Freedom Project, a Sydney-based rights group that did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday..
Both suits claim the law is unconstitutional because it infringes on Australia’s implied freedom of political communication.
A prelimary hearing is set for May 21 when the court will set a date for oral arguments, Reddit said Tuesday.
