Ella Langley‘s Stagecoach set included a performance of her new Morgan Wallen duet, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” but she sang it solo.
Wallen wasn’t available to join her at Stagecoach for a very simple reason, and Langley was quick to let the crowd know what it was. She nipped any false hopes in the bud by making it clear before she sang that he wasn’t a special guest.
Why Wasn’t Morgan Wallen at Stagecoach to Sing His Duet With Ella Langley?
“I’m gonna go ahead and burst your bubble: Morgan is not here,” Langley said from the stage.
“He’s on dad duty this weekend,” she continued. “Can’t blame a man for being a good dad.”
The crowd seemed to agree, offering cheers as Langley explained that she still wanted to play their new duet. She stated that she and Wallen thought long and hard before choosing a song they wanted to record together, and that they’d been tossing around the idea of a duet over the course of the multiple tours they’ve been on together.
Langley’s Stagecoach set may not have included Morgan Wallen, but she did bring out another surprise guest. Comedian and podcaster Theo Von joined her to sing Riley Green‘s part on “You Look Like You Love Me.”
When Did Ella Langley + Morgan Wallen Release “I Can’t Love You Anymore”?
Langley and Wallen officially released their duet on Friday (April 24) after debuting the song live at an April 18 tour stop in Alabama.

The song is not on Langley’s freshly-released Dandelion album (at least, not yet: You never know if a deluxe edition is in the works.) But she did tease it at the end of the music video for “Choosin’ Texas,” a hit single off that project.
