Taylor Sheridan stomped a big bootprint on the business and culture of television. In less than a decade, he revived the western with his smash hit “Yellowstone” and spun out a Sheridan-verse of shows with brawny characters in heartland settings.
Now the producer is breaking up with Paramount, the studio that shepherded all his shows, after chafing under the company’s new leadership, topped by chief executive David Ellison. Sheridan forged a new deal to make TV and movies for entertainment company NBCUniversal.
