On Friday (Oct. 17), the country superstar was mid-concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena when a fan interaction veered dangerously close to awkward territory.
A fan introduced herself as “Nicole” — obviously a sore subject these days, considering Urban’s recent split from Nicole Kidman. The crowd gasped. The “You’ll Think of Me” singer handled it perfectly.
A Name Drop He Didn’t See Coming
“I’m not going to like your name?” Urban asked, puzzled, in a now-viral TikTok clip from the Friday night show on his High and Alive Tour.
“It���s Nicole,” the fan replied, drawing gasps and nervous laughter from the crowd — the timing coming just weeks after news broke of Urban and Kidman’s divorce.

Urban, 57, handled it with grace and humor. He bowed his head dramatically, then collapsed backwards onto the stage, feigning devastation.
The crowd roared as he lay flat on his back, waving an arm for comedic effect. “Did you say Nicole Richie?” he quipped after sitting back up.

The exchange came just weeks after Kidman, 58, filed for divorce from Urban after nearly two decades of marriage.
Urban and Kidman, once a symbol of Hollywood-meets-Nashville love, had quietly separated last month.
Court documents show Urban signed divorce papers on August 29; Kidman followed on September 6.
Their official separation date — September 30 — was the same day the filing became public.
They reached a private custody agreement focused on their daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14).
Kidman will have the girls for 306 days each year; Urban, 59 days. No child support will be exchanged, and all major parenting decisions will be made together.
