Watch Kacey Musgraves’ ‘Mexico Honey’ — Her Raciest Video Yet!

Is there a CMA Awards category we don’t know about called Horniest Music Video? If so, Kacey Musgraves will be shoo-in at the rate she’s going in 2026

Musgraves just released her video for “Mexico Honey,” and the treatment features shots of a parrot, a panther, a python and a half-naked man with honey drizzling down his face. Oh yeah, and a booty shot from the star herself.

The video’s story line sticks pretty true to the lyrics of “Mexico Honey,” one of the songs off her Middle of Nowhere album.

Literally: There’s a lot of honey involved. Elsewhere, Musgraves sings on stage, hangs her hair out a car window and gets very flirty with a chiseled, shirtless man. Various scenes from the clip show the couple rolling around in bed, showering together and making eyes at each other as they amble the streets of a border town.

Another scene finds Musgraves in a pool by a waterfall, a long, yellow snake wrapped around her arms and torso.

One particularly eye-catching shot shows Musgraves nude from behind, a strategically-placed parrot perching on her hand.

Is Kacey Musgraves’ “Mexico Honey” Her Horniest Video Yet?

Maybe — but that’s a surprisingly tall order given the singer’s recent history. Her March 2026 single “Dry Spell” certainly raised some eyebrows — both for its lyrics and its peculiarly-suggestive, grocery store-themed video.

Both songs come off of Middle of Nowhere, which is generally a pretty un-horny project, all things considered. Much of its lyrics are about loneliness and the disappointment and disillusion of relationships that fall short of expectations.

Other stand-out tracks include “Horses and Divorces,” a collaboration with Miranda Lambert that puts a long-standing real-life feud to bed, and a duet with Willie Nelson called Uncertain, TX.”

Much of the album is a love letter to Musgraves’ home state, and she embraces Latin musical elements on “Mexico Honey.” The singer also hired a Texas-based mariachi trio to play three shows on her Middle of Nowhere Tour with her after the sibling group were detained by ICE, garnering national outcry.
