LAST YEAR, WE DONATED OVER 3500 BLANKETS TO DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS HERE IN BERNALILLO COUNTY AND NORTHERN NEW MEXICO. Volunteers in Albuquerque are coming together once a month through Project Linus to make blankets for children in need. “That’s our mission is to give kids a blanket that’s theirs. And for a lot of kids, those who are homeless, those suffering in the hospital, those going into foster care, something that is theirs and theirs only is a really big deal,” a volunteer said. The group has provided more than 95,000 blankets to children in need since it was founded in 1999.
