The UK has had something in the water lately, their music scene is cranking out award-winning, critically-acclaimed, press-adored bands faster than a knife-fight in a phone booth, and there’s another rock-metal leaning, grunge embracing act on the horizon – Blush Puppy.
Included in BBC Introducing’s Ones to Watch 2026 and Kerrang!‘s “The Sound of 2026: The 26 Essential New Artists Coming To Shape Your Year,” Blush Puppy are in their infantry as a band, they don’t even have an EP yet, but their singles are strong and mighty, fluidly changing between elements and genres.
Of the band’s newest single, “TEARS IN RAIN,” released this past Wednesday (February 25th), vocalist and guitarist Luke Osmand says, “I wrote “TEARS IN RAIN” from a really personal place. It’s about all the things you don’t say, and how heavy that becomes over time. Writing it made me realise how painful silence can be, and how easy it is to hide behind a smile instead of letting people see what’s really going on. At the same time, it reminded me not to take everything so seriously, sometimes it’s the small stuff you bottle up that ends up feeling way bigger than it ever needed to be.”
