On Sunday (June 14), Americans flocked to the White House and to Paramount + to watch an unprecedented event unfold: An actual UFC fight on the White House South Lawn.
The UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House had everything from a bald eagle flying around to pricey merchandise commemorating the event. The National Anthem was sung by Zac Brown beforehand to kick everything off.

But some attendees were left with serious sticker shock after visiting the concessions stand.
UFC Freedom 250’s Outrageous White House Concession Prices
According to AOL, the concession stands at UFC Freedom 250 had some pretty normal food and drinks at highly inflated prices.
The priciest thing on the menu was a top shelf cocktail that would run you $30 dollars for one drink. Then there was the $28 dollar espresso martini, dubbed the Final Round Espresso.
Here is the price breakdown for drinks at UFC’s Freedom 250 event:
- Top-shelf cocktails: $30
- Final Round Espresso cocktail: $28
- Premium cocktails: $24
- Jalapeño Slam cocktail: $16
- Domestic beer: $13–$17
- Wine: $15
- Bottled water: $7

Chicken prices at the event were through the roof with Chicken tenders & fries coming in at $17 and Specialty po/boys sandwiches costing anywhere from $17-$30, depending on toppings.
Other prices for food included:
- Nachos: $10
- Hot dog: $8
- Pretzel: $8
How Much Did It Cost To Put On the UFC Freedom 250 Event?
Per Yahoo Sports, production for the event cost about $60 million. It’s projected to lose about $30 million.
A White House spokesperson told ESPN that UFC is “funding and paying for this entire event,” with no burden on taxpayers. “There are no taxpayer dollars being used outside of what would be applied towards employees normal duties and responsibilities,” the statement added.
A D.C. spokesperson also told ESPN that the city expected to incur an additional $10 to $12 million in “supplemental security costs,” which would be paid out of a federally appointed fund for federal events.
