Fresh off their signing with Nuclear Blast Records, Texas death metal juggernauts Tribal Gaze are gearing up for a crushing return. Their second full-length album, Inveighing Brilliance, is set to drop October 17, delivering a scorching injection of old-school death metal straight into the modern scene. The record follows the band’s 2022 debut The Nine Choirs, which earned high praise for its unrelenting brutality and atmosphere.
To kick off this next chapter, Tribal Gaze have unleashed “Beyond Recognition”, the album’s furious first single, accompanied by an intense video directed by David Brodsky — the visual mind behind clips for Cattle Decapitation, Cannibal Corpse, and more.
“I think this album, like our others, is us trying to create memorable parts in songs” said Tribal Gaze guitarist Quintin Stauts. “Parts that make you have to rewind and hear it again. The aim is always to make songs that we love listening to. We’re just trying to add something of value to the death metal world. Our single ‘Beyond Recognition’ is a good representation of where we’re at mentally. Pissed during the fast parts, pissed during the slow parts.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see the new material live. This fall, Tribal Gaze will hit the road across North America in support of Inveighing Brilliance, joining a devastating bill alongside The Acacia Strain, Cattle Decapitation, Aborted, Frozen Soul, and more.
With the new label backing them, a blistering new record on the way, and a stacked tour ahead, Tribal Gaze are poised to make Inveighing Brilliance one of the year’s most talked-about death metal releases.
