According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company said 105,794 vehicles are being recalled over the potential issue.
Toyota said the vehicles have a faulty fuel tube connection near the fuel tank that may disconnect and leak fuel. A fuel leak paired with an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire, the car manufacturer said.
The company said on Oct. 14 that “certain 2024-2027 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid vehicles” are affected.
NHTSA said car dealers will inspect the connection and “install a supplemental clamp or, as necessary, replace the resin fuel tube and install a supplemental clamp, free of charge.”
Owner notification letters are also expected to be mailed by Nov. 29, 2026.
