In a recent interview with Hits, Langley shared an empowering message to women that needs to be amplified.

Langley says
“Tough girls don’t have to say they’re tough.”
It’s more of an aura that they put out and how they handle business, and less of a performative vibe that tries to exude confidence.

Langley says “My dad’s pretty tough, and my mom’s not super-girly, so I’m more of a tomboy. Tough girls don’t have to say they’re tough. There are a lot of them out there.”

Langley understands the fact that there are girls out there who are looking for other women to help boost them and empower them, and she hopes to do so through music. “I don’t want to write songs that are just about me, I want it to mean something for people a couple different ways,” the singer says.
Langley grew up southern Baptist in Alabama and was homeschooled for a lot of her childhood, up until sixth grade. She says she didn’t really get taught much, she just played outside a lot.
You can just imagine how a young Langley outside playing all day, maybe barefoot and getting into some trouble, could lead to her being tough as nails and understanding that toughness is a badge worn— not a message announced.
