While fans await the start of the 2025-26 NFL season, rumors about who will be performing at Super Bowl LX have already started online.

Although country music has been a popular choice to handle pre-game performances of the National Anthem or “America the Beautiful,” the genre has been overlooked for the halftime entertainment.
In fact, it’s been more than 30 years since a country artist took the coveted stage.
However, 2026 could be the year that changes that.
Who Could Play Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show?
Although it’s too early to start throwing around names, the betting site Kalshi has a list of the top contenders who could perform mid-game.
Their top 10 list includes two familiar names: Post Malone and Morgan Wallen.
The numbers are constantly changing, but right now the odds lie in favor of Jay-Z.
However, Malone is a close second and even led the pack on Monday (Aug. 4). It appears he is closing the gap on Jay-Z once more as we get close to the start of the season.
Wallen, on the other hand, is floating around the middle of the pack, with names like Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Drake and Metallica. Miley Cyrus and Bad Bunny are also gaining ground in the odds.
Which Country Artists Have Played the Super Bowl Halftime Show?
The last time a country singer headlined a Super Bowl halftime show was in 1994. Super Bowl 28 featured a medley of country songs performed by four of Nashville’s top artists at the time.
Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt and Wynonna Judd each performed some of their biggest hits during a special titled “Rockin’ Country Sunday.” Naomi Judd also made a surprise appearance at the end for a special rendition of “Love Can Build a Bridge.”
When Is Super Bowl 60?
Super Bowl 60 is set for February 8, 2026. The game will be held at the home of the San Francisco 49ers, Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
