Today, a judge ruled for a 17-year-old accused of threatening a crossing guard to remain in custody.Investigators say on Aug. 27, a 17-year-old was picking up his sibling at Jackson Middle School when the teen then parked his car over the crosswalk. The crossing guard then blew his whistle for the teen to move, and the teen drove into the staff parking lot of the school. When the crossing guard approached the teen and told him he could not park at the crosswalk, the teen pointed a gun at the guard and said, “I will kill you.”Police later found the gun under the front seat of the car. The teen is being charged with unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon on a school campus, unlawful carrying of a gun by a person under 19, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The 17-year-old will be kept in custody as he goes through the judicial process.
