STEPMOTHER Announce Absurdus Manifestus, Drop Ferocious New Single “Slice Of Life”

Date:

Channeling raw rock ‘n’ roll urgency into feral anthems for society’s outcasts and miscreants, Stepmother have announced their long-awaited new album, Absurdus Manifestus, due April 10, 2026 via Tee Pee Records.

Fusing high-velocity Motor City proto-punk with fuzz-drenched feedback and electric psychedelia, the band once again taps into the spirits of Blue Cheer, The Pink Fairies, Nervous Eaters, and The Damned — wielding hardened punk nihilism to confront the absurdity and dark comedy of modern life.

The latest single, “Slice Of Life,” captures the band at their most relentless and confrontational. “It’s an unpolished stomper you can either shake your ass to or kick holes in the wall depending on your preference,” says Clise. “It really blurs the line between total focus and all-out chaos.”

Other tracks further highlight the group’s unhinged range. The psych-punk dystopian anthem “New World” finds them in full throttle mode, while “What’s New?” delivers a pub-rock rager packed with rapid-fire, razor-slashing riffs and sneering proto-punk irreverence.

Pre-orders are available here.
