
New Mexico State Police are assisting local law enforcement with a home standoff in Farmington.Officers with the state Department of Corrections attempted a knock-and-talk at a home, according to state police. This led to officers entering and finding Christopher Velasquez, 36, on a bed and armed with what appeared to be a firearm. Law enforcement then exited the home and requested state police assistance.The response started on County Road 3961 sometime on Tuesday, April 7. Immediate neighbors were evacuated amid the response.
