Spite are a intense dark metal four piece out of Southern California with Darius Tehrani on vocals, Alex Tehrani on guitar, Ben Bamford on bass, and Travis Regnier on drums. Together, they rage. They convey fury. They are fucking angry and aren’t afraid who knows it. Announcing their newest album NEW WORLD KILLER, out on October 31st, AllMusic has described Spite as “decibel-and- soul-crushing deathcore unit… who employ a lethal blend of death metal, metalcore, and neo-nu-metal.”
Alongside the announcement of their new album came the release of their title track, “NEW WORLD KILLER,” back in late September. Now, Spite are back with a brand new single, “Looking Glass,” featuring Boundaries.
A slight departure lyrically from the first two singles, frontman Darius Tehrani explains, “his song is about coping with the passing of my father. Being robbed of grief and carrying an anger with nowhere to go. I’m grateful Matt McDougal was able to sing on such an important song with me.”
Boundaries’ Matt McDougal joins the four piece for the new track, adding another level of vocal dynamics that Spite seem to excel at. With blast-beats that will get your heart racing and thrashing guitars to get your limbs flailing, “Looking Glass,” can be both cathartic and violent if you let it.
