Signs Point to Another Double Album Coming From Morgan Wallen

As we all anxiously await the next season of Morgan Wallen music, the superstar has already started to tease the fact that he will share new music real soon.

According to Billboard, Wallen said, “I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do as far as this album. I think I’m on seven or eight singles right now, so it’s probably nearing the end for this album. I’m trying to figure that out.”

I think there’s a hidden message in that statement, and that is that all signs are pointing to another double album from Wallen.

Let me explain.

How Many Singles Usually Come From One Album?

In country music, there is a basic cycle that most, if not all artists use for each album.

When the album comes out, there are usually three to four songs off of each full-length record that are released on their own as singles in order to push album streams and sales.

Think of it as a small billboard for the full-length record. Each single takes approximately three to six months to climb the charts.

So if you release four singles, that would take about two years to complete their chart cycles. By then, the artist will have toured it all out and is ready to release a new record.

Wallen teasing that his next project already has seven to eight singles chosen would lend itself to thinking there is another double album in store for fans.

How Many Double Albums Has Morgan Wallen Released?

The “I’m The Problem” hitmaker released his first double album in 2021 with Dangerous: The Double Album.

The following project, 2023’s One Thing at a Time, was also a lengthy album with 36 tracks. It would seem these double collections are now the norm for Wallen.
