BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. —

Several people were detained after shots were fired at Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday in Tijeras.

A BCSO spokesperson says deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of New Mexico Highway 333 around 3 a.m. Saturday. While deputies were speaking with a 17-year-old juvenile at the scene, gunshots were fired in their direction. One BCSO vehicle was struck by gunfire.

Police say BCSO activated its SWAT Team and received assistance from New Mexico State Police, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office and Edgewood Police. Eight people left the house, and police eventually located several firearms in the residence.

No one was injured in the incident. No one is in custody at the moment, but charges could be filed.
