News of the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion’s passing broke on May 21, just hours after he was hospitalized for “severe illness.”
It was less than eight hours between news of his hospitalization and news of his death.
While a specific cause of death has not been revealed at this time, details surrounding the incident have begun to surface.
While in Concord, N.C., Busch had been testing a Chevrolet racing simulator when he became unresponsive. From there he was transported to a hospital in Charlotte.

By the afternoon, news broke that Busch had died.
Who Was Kyle Busch?
Busch was a professional stock car driver who launched his career as a teen. He comes from a racing pedigree and grew up working on cars with his family.
As a child he competed in go-kart and short-track races and started accumulating championships as a teenager.
His NASCAR debut came in 2001, when he raced for Roush Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Throughout his career he drove for a handful of racing teams, including Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing and Richard Childress Racing, which he was with at the time of his death.
He even started his own team, Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Who Are Kyle Busch’s Wife and Children?
Off the track, Busch was a husband and father.
He married Samantha Sarcinella on Dec. 31, 2010. Their wedding was featured on Esquire Network in a one-hour special.
The couple shared two children: Brexton, 11, and Lennix, 4.

Busch’s last post to social media was a celebratory note in honor of his son’s birthday.
“Keep doing what you’re doing and there is no limit to what you’ll accomplish!” he wrote in the caption.
