Santa Fe County sets up phone number for residents stranded due to flooding

A phone number has been set up by Santa Fe County officials for residents who are affected by the flooding to call.
Officials say an emergency notification was sent out alerting residents that Marquez Ville Road at Paseo Galisteo is closed and active flooding has made the road impassible.
The Office of Emergency Management, along with technical rescue crews, are on scene, although no rescues have been needed. About 20 homes are stranded, and county officials are looking for alternate options for residents to get in and out of the neighborhood. Firefighters went door to door to check on residents who are currently home in the neighborhood.
A similar situation has occurred at Cañada Village Road at Camino La Llorona. Cañada Village Road is currently closed with County officials at the scene. Emergency officials are evaluating the situation there.
Residents who are unable to return to their home due to road closures are advised to call 505-428-3737.
