San Juan County warn of flooded roads

Date:

AZTEC, N.M. (KRQE) – Jeeps are meant for heavy-duty terrains, but take the advice when officials tell you to “Turn around, don’t drown.” Near Aztec, New Mexico, San Juan County Fire and Rescue posted photos showing a white Jeep almost completely submerged in the recent rains.

They say the Jeep was pushed down a running wash when the driver tried to cross. The driver managed to get out of the car and hang out on the hood until rescue arrived. Rescue crews say that big tires and 4-wheel drive don’t help if you are floating in water.
