It’s a novel detailing more than 70 sets of brothers who served in the war and now lie buried next to each other. The Duran brothers are featured in this book. “Behind every one of those white burial markers is a story and a family and a story of loss, but it’s also incredibly inspiring to go to these places,” Callahan said. He said this work has been a labor of love, highlighting the work these brothers and others did to protect this country.Callahan said, “I came here seven years ago to San Felipe Pueblo to meet with the family, to collect photos and artifacts and personal memories of the brothers.”He hopes this book honors the memories of these soldiers, but also helps the families affected by remembering their loved ones who paid the ultimate price in the name of freedom.The Duran brothers are buried together at the Luxembourg American Cemetery overseas.
