ROSWELL, N.M.

A Roswell woman has been arrested in Texas after being accused of stealing nearly $70,000 from her employer.

A state investigation by the New Mexico Department of Justice revealed that Roshelle Ruffin, an office manager for Krumland Auto Group, which operates several dealerships in Roswell, allegedly canceled, recoded, and reissued checks intended for customers.

Investigators said Ruffin redirected the checks to herself, her family, and her friends.
