The Santa Fe National Forest has temporarily closed Gilman Tunnels on National Forest System Road 376 located in the Jemez Ranger District due to a rockslide that has blocked access through the tunnels.

The road is closed on both sides of the Gilman Tunnels and motorists will ot be able to travel through the area.

Forest engineering crews are currently assessing conditions and are working to remove debris and reopen access as quickly as possible. The closure will remain in effect until the area is determined to be safe for public access.

Visitors are asked to follow all closure signs and barriers for their safety.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.
