The New Mexico Department of Transportation advises of a big road project that is currently happening in Grants. Approximately $1 million is being invested in a mill and overlay on approximately 1 mile of NM 122 in Grants, New Mexico. Crews are scheduled to repave a mile of the highway between mile marker 37 and mile marker 38 near the I-40 exit 85. Work on the project takes place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and is scheduled to be completed on Aug. 28. In the meantime, drivers should expect some minor delays and plan travel accordingly.
