Phoenix rollover crash kills 1, injures another



The single-vehicle rollover crash happened just before 5 p.m. near Southern and 27th avenues. Here are the latest details

PHOENIX — One man is dead and another suffered serious injuries after a rollover crash in south Phoenix on Friday, according to officials with the Phoenix Police Department

The single-vehicle rollover crash happened just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Southern and 27th avenues. Officers found the two men at the scene with serious injuries. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a nearby hospital, officials said.

A third man was seen running from the scene of the crash, Phoenix police officials said. 

The area is expected to be closed for an “extended period of time,” officials said. They encourage drivers to find an alternate route. 

Detectives responded and are investigating the crash.
