ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The finishing touches on a dominant freshman season came by way of a league honor for UNM Track and Field Cross Country star Pamela Kosgei Thursday. Kosgei was named Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year.
Kosgei racked up six Mountain West individual titles, five All-American trophies, and two outdoor national titles. After finishing her first season in cherry and silver, Kosgei made the Kenyan senior national team ahead of the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in September, where she’ll compete for a world title in the 3,000m steeplechase.
