A large crowd gathered at Montgomery Park in Albuquerque on Saturday morning to protest against President Donald Trump’s policies.

“I’m horrified, I’m terrified, and I want to be here with my community,” one protester said.

Sky Seven video showed a large crowd that began to gather just before 10 a.m. The faces were different at the “No Kings” protest, but the words and the message were the same.

“This is to counter what they described as a time of absolute insanity,” said Lewis Sowatski.

The Albuquerque Police Department blocked off streets as protesters carried signs opposing Trump’s current agenda, including immigration, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement shootings, the war in Iran and the economy.

“To demonstrate, to protest against the corruption and the violence,” said Farleigh Carson.

Voting rights activist Stacey Abrams was one of several speakers at the event.

“Instead, they were going to seize our power and change our rules and change our minds and change our lives. But I’m here to tell you, no, not on our watch,” Abrams said.

Attorney General Raul Torres also addressed the crowd.

“You’re called upon in this moment to build a different kind of politics, to restore what really makes America great,” Torres said.

“This is what democracy looks like,” another protester said.

After the rally, protesters marched around the streets surrounding Montgomery Park. The New Mexico Republican Party released a statement saying:
