New bodycam video from state police shows the moments officers opened fire at a suspect in August during a chase after a domestic violence call.

Witnesses say they saw Alejandro Vigil hitting a woman inside a truck and later holding her in a headlock as she tried to escape.

When officers arrived, they found 34-year-old Amity Maes dead in the road. Vigil allegedly returned to the scene, and the chase began, eventually pointing a gun at officers.

He was shot twice and taken to the hospital.

He faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated assault upon a peace officer, aggravated fleeing, false imprisonment, and aggravated battery.
