New Mexico couple sentenced to prison in child abuse case

A couple who locked their 6-year-old daughter in a hot shed now knows how long they will spend behind bars.
Bruce and Samantha Anglin were arrested back on July 3, 2025, after they locked their 6-year-old in a shed without any running water or electricity.
Court documents stated that Bruce told investigators the child was being punished, while Samantha said she tried to let the child out several times, but Bruce refused.
Bruce Anglin was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison followed by four-and-a-half years of supervised probation.
Samantha Anglin was sentenced to three years, but her sentence was suspended, and she was placed on supervised probation.
