NASA and Boeing Scale Back Starliner Missions After Fumbled Astronaut Flight

Boeing’s troubled Starliner spacecraft will fly again early next year. This time it won’t be carrying astronauts.

Starliner ran into a string of technical problems during its June 2024 debut flight carrying NASA astronauts, prompting the agency to leave the crew members on the International Space Station for months before a SpaceX Crew Dragon vehicle brought them back to Earth.
